The Goonie who wasn’t in the movie.

Hi all,
I finally finished both Lore books which I liked reading a lot.
I am still trying to catch up with all the guild wars lore and what better way then doing that while I am exploring Tyria.
Here is my simple question.
Edge of Steel (Rytlock, Logan and Caithe) are fighting inside an Arena in Lion’s arch.
I am pretty sure that there is not a huge arena inside LA (outside the little pet fighting one) So where is that arena located in LA?
Thanks,

I did not always view / cross / suspected to exist.
Even in the water, I have nothing to resembling an arena.
The arena was knocked down to make way for something. Possibly the pad with the asura gates? Wish I had a better answer, but I’m drawing a blank ATM.
One thing I know is it isn’t there anymore…and there is an explaination as to why.
Someone will chime in with a better answer. I know there is one cause I read it somewhere once before
Yeah, I remember talking about this at launch. It might have something to do on the shore by fort marriner? Or like ^ said, the asura gate thing is good
What is the time frame between GW2 and the ending of Edge of Destiny.
I can’t be that long since the members of Edge of Destiny are still emotionally recovering from it, in the beginning of your storyline?
" The arena was knocked down to make way for something"
That could be a very good solution, although when those events are mentioned it sounds like a good money making business for Lion’s arch since people around Tyria come to visit LA just for that arena.
Then again we already lost the Lion statue and now the observation tower. I just thought I would put it out there and see if anybody had an answer.

1325 AE
Present day during Guild Wars 2.
1324 AE
Dougal Keane enters the crypts beneath Divinity’s Reach. Truce negotiations between the charr and humans begin.
1320 AE
Kralkatorrik, the Elder Crystal Dragon, awakens. Creation of the Dragonbrand. Breaking of Destiny’s Edge. Founding of the Vigil.
1319 AE
Eir Stegalkin forms a band of heroes known as Destiny’s Edge.
So, about 6 years, like I thought

Correct. It was removed in the past year in order to make room for the asura gates that lead to the Mists.

Five years since the end of the novel, six since the forming of the full group.
Then again we already lost the Lion statue and now the observation tower. I just thought I would put it out there and see if anybody had an answer.
Lion’s Court is already being rebuilt.
And it was a lighthouse. One from GW1’s time, even.

The mists are where we battle for competition in gw. The battles there would be vastly more glorious than what took place in an arena. Lions arch probably still generates a ton of money and draws a lot of visitors to town because of the gates. They didn’t give up a source of revenue…they took it to a whole new level.
Thank you all for answering.
