Regarding Krait Obelisks
Obelisks, until this coming patch comes, have not been mentioned a single time in-game. All we have to go on is the pre-release article, which is strange enough on it’s own. I mean, how would surface scholars even know these things exist, let alone enough to formulate hypotheses about their origins?

Maybe from rescued/escaped slaves? Not necessarily landdwelling ones, but quaggan or others? Also, maybe captured/boastful/battle-chatty krait have given scholars insights, too.

The “how” is probably not that important. I mean, we the players are constantly discovering forbidden knowledge of the deeps just by being able to swim and being pretty killy. A scholar probably stumbled upon an obelisk at some point while he was grinding a champ hypnoss or something.

‘they are found’ is not the same as ‘they find them’, it means they are exclusively located on the ocean floor

All I know is that these rare stones will soon be in abundance as everyone gets a personal one in their home instance… (sigh)
Such a mysterious object in the lore and background of the Krait, and then baam! everyone gets their mini obelisk in their home instance??
As for discovery of these obelisks, the same sentence, Getefix, does say unique, dark stone and found exclusively and rarely, so I think the Krait come across these obelisk sites searching them out and thus having their prophecy with such a monumental expectation tied to them.

It’s fact, the krait and a Faction of the Nightmare Court have aligned (likely only the power hungry ones that stuck around in TA after their leader(s) left at the end of storymode).
They sing dark, delicious notes about power and family.

If you do the Krait Historian Achievement you get a little detail about the Obelisks at the end.
We are told that the Obelisks are very similar to Bloodstones which were used to seal magic.
What do you think the Toxic Alliance could do with them?

It is a faction/offshoot of the Nightmare Court that has joined with Krait and Scarlet, not the whole group.
Kos, I’ve got a couple theories there, but the krait themselves seem to believe that these obelisks are how their prophets shall return. Interestingly enough, though, the Oratuss we fight never mentions the prophets- instead, he has a line that suggests that they seek themselves to ascend in like manner. As for the NC- we still don’t even know what they’re doing here, so speculation is difficult.

Those are concept arts, subject to any level of change. They might end up exactly as depicted, or they might be unrecognizable as what is depicted there, or anything in-between.
