Sariss Yassith - the last Forgotten?

When I noticed that Yassith has an ascended set named after him, I couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, because I would have assumed that all the forgotten were dead by now, so I was wondering what story relevance he would have.
If he/The Forgotten are coming back into the storyline, I wonder if he’ll be coming to us, or if we’ll be going into The Crystal Desert (if he still resides there.)
EDIT: I thought all the HoT ascended sets were named after story-relevant characters in HoT, but then I realized characters like Maklain got a set named after them, so he could totally be there for the sake of it, or considering Ossa has a set as well, it could be hinting at Crystal Desert. Im probably over-speculating.

Well during LS2, it is said the Pact where aiming to go there before Mordi woke up. so you never know.

Ossa was somewhat relevant, as he plays a role in S2 which is a leadup to HoT. And while not direct, the Forgotten have a relevance to the story.

I was thinking Vissh Rakissh as the Last Forgotten, myself. While it’s unclear if the massacre he talks about it one that happened around Nightfall or whether it happened before Abaddon was incarcerated, that’s the one Forgotten that we know survived Nightfall in Tyria.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.

I have to think more survived. Everything but the blog post suggests the Exalted were created after GW1, and I don’t think Vissh could’ve gathered and created them alone.
Agreed it would be odd for Yassith to make the whole Exalted group alone, but the Forgotten are heavily implied if not outright stated to be extinct with only one remaining during the writing of those tablets.
Mind you, the date of the tablets isn’t clear as it seems written prior to the Exalted going into hibernation, yet the Forgotten mentions Glint’s death which occurred in 1320 – 8 years prior to HoT.

There was also a forgotten presence in the mists and elona, right? Where they operated as servants to the gods rather than Glint. I’d assume the gods, wherever they went, probably have a few forgotten hanging around, especially Kormir.
The presence in Elona was down to one singular forgotten who was very, very old and likely to die soon.

Regarding the Mists: That’s one of the mysteries. There presumably should be another population in the Mists, yet we see implications that they’re extinct. It’s possible that “The Last Forgotten” was simply the last Forgotten on Tyria, though, and they have no plans to return.
