Separatists and (ghost) Ascalonians
Yes, the Foefire ghosts see everyone as a charr, even humans – even animals, asura, sylvari, norn, etc. every living being is a charr in their eyes.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

I’m not sure as to how they see everyone as charr, rather than just everyone as an invader.
They’re stuck in a loop of defending Ascalon from invaders, and everytime they die, they just reform, think it’s yesterday, and continue. The reason they attack humans is because they don’t recognize you as an ascalonian, I think they were still hostile to krytan and orrian humans at the time. As for all the other species, just blind rage, nothing but blind rage

I thought my human character was called a Charr once by an Ascalonian ghost, but I don’t see any evidence of that on the wiki. Im probably remembering it wrong. But what I did find was this line in the Ascalonian Ghost wiki page “Their zeal to defend Ascalon is absolute and anything living is seen as charr or an ally of the charr”
In further context, it notes they were all driven mad, so anything goes at this point.

Dougal Keane, in Ghosts of Ascalon: “When they run into someone still alive, they see that person as charr, or at best an ally of the charr. It doesn’t matter who or what the person really is. It could be Queen Jennah herself, or a sylvari. To them, every person who invades their space is charr.”
hmm.. okay, then I retract my statement, I thought it was more general as “everything alive is an enemy”, but if they really can’t discern a charr from a deer.. well.. it might be time for a pair of glasses
Well deer and other animals are probably more seen as “warbeasts employed by the charr”, like how the charr use devourers and (in GW1) ceratadons, among other creatures.
