Today I run around Blackwing Excavation with my mesmer alt and found that one of NPC still has old dialogues.

Gossiping Miner: This place used to be vital for our survival against the charr. Now, we’re making big sales to vendors in Divinity’s Reach. I bet that dries up as soon as they get that sinkhole repaired.

Me: Sinkhole? What sinkhole?

Gossiping Miner: Did you ever see that fancy arts district they have… well, had in Divinity’s Reach? It’s gone now, collapsed into a sinkhole. Big mess. Sounds like the renovation will take a while.

Did not he hear about The Crown Pavilion? Did developers started to forget what they placed in game in past and what should be changed?

Even if one likes games, there’s a limit…

Well that’s what you get when you’ve got 4 living story teams and just one QA team.

One – Piken Square

Well, you’re talking to some miner who lives far out of town and is working most of the day. S/He may be out of the loop… I mean the miner is kind of literally living under a rock. lol I’m kidding, I’m sure they’ll update it eventually.

Yeah… some dialogues just get left behind. Mai Trin, for instance, is still stuck in the immediate aftermath of her arrest.

Kinda disappointing, seeing as how the Aetherblades have been such an integral part of everything that has happened since then.

R.I.P., Old Man of Auld Red Wharf. Gone but never forgotten.

With so many npc’s, it’s easy to overlook one tiny piece of old dialogue. I think there are worse mistakes to worry about. This isn’t a biggy. But put it in the bugs forum, and perhaps they’ll fix it.

I don’t see that as a dialogue left behind. It just shows that she was abandoned by Scarlet, but Mai believes her men will still come for her.

Well, it could be an oversight, but I wouldn’t count it as such.

What is disappointing though, is Kasmeer and Marjory having no altered dialogues for this update – Rox and Braham did during Dragon Bash and Bazaar updates, but for content related to their own city, Kasmeer and Marjory gets no update other than worriment over not having clients (which I think was around last month)?

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

If all this events and happenings in the living world doesnt move, say, the Pact, or the seraph in the world to do something else than their usual things, why would you think that two gossiping miners in a pit will give a kitten about it happening?

This invasion thingy bit far more than it can chew. It is supposed to change way too much in the world than can be done by any number of Living Story teams. At least killing Zhaitan would only have to change things in Orr. But a full-scale invasion of Tyria by mechadroids and molten and aetherblades?

Hehe, I actually found that exact same miner a few days ago, Hyperion. I reported it as a dialogue bug; hopefully you did too.

Had the same thing happen when the Lion statue was destroyed back in October, a girl still talked about the statue as if it were still there.

Same with the individuals who stayed inside of the Lion’s Arch lighthouse and talked about it as if it still existed after the events of Lost Shores.

To me the whole crown pavilion thing just seemed like it was a quick fix to “fill in” (pun intended) a hole in the story that was meant for something else entirely. We still never found out what caused it (although I have my own theories, not gonna bother sharing them right now because i know it will get refuted immediately) and there were rumors of something moving down there, only now apparently it has a few tons of reonnvated construction sitting on top of it. I doubt at this point there will be anymore in depth discussion about the sinkhole other than some vague references which makes me kind of sad.

Divinity’s Reach is quite possibly my favorite city, definitely beats out any of the others in my personal opinion. That said, I wouldn’t mind the pavilion being destroyed and replaces with a proper CANTHAN district.
