I am trying to make a Mesmer to play as almost a new “Main”.

Currently I now have an Asura named “Bypp” Is that an Ok Male Asuran name?
Or doe sit need a vowel.

Also Is asuran or Sylvari best to play HoT with, I know Sylvari hear mordremoth, but could Asurans get anythign too since they know of Magic and could then understand sciency things? ( Like how if you are an Asuran engineer you could understand 90% of all scarlet’s notes in her breachmaker)

Some days I feel like I can’t go on…. and then I eat Garlic.

Bypp sounds realistic for a male Asuran’s name. Most male Asuran’s names have only one syllable, and end in a consonant, which Bypp does. It even has the trendy double-consonant which is popular in Asuran names.

Play which ever one you want. The only confirmed racial difference we’ll see in HoT is the Sylvari being able to hear Mordremoth. Otherwise, racial and professional differences will likely just be minor lore tidbits, NPC’s dialogue when reacting to your characters, and easter eggs.

Personally, im going to be playing a Charr, because when I was playing Sylvari in the betas, when ever Mordremoth started talking, I didn’t really like it because theres something about his voice that my ears don’t quite agree with, and is quite uncomfortable to listen to. The only comparison I can think of is when somebody scratches a chalk board with their nails. It doesn’t hurt your ears, but it makes them “cringe” and makes them feel unpleasant. Not sure if thats the right word to describe it.

No Mordremoth voice for me.
