Reading saurian page and it says they’ve also been seen in tarnished coast, and even blood legion homelands! How do we know this?
From GW1’s ime. We discovered many Saurians in these areas during the Eye of the North campaign.
Many in the Tarnished Coast, anyway. There were only a handful in the charr lands.

They were marketed as new when HoT came out, and Saurian wasn’t a term in the first game.

Although Saurians were new to GW2 (excluding traditional raptors) with HoT, those particular Saurians are new to the franchise altogether. GW1, whilst having Saurians in those areas, had the below models instead. None of the larger GW2 Saurians were in GW1 iirc.

Saurian was also a term in GW1, it’s just “Dinosaur” was more commonly used.
