Could Trahearne have known he was a Minion of Mordremoth?

He might have known what Scarlet was up to (maybe even working with her) and instead of using the pact and all of its assets to try and stop her, he stood back, instead buying Scarlet more time to wake up Mordremoth. That would explain why the pact never bothered to help while Scarlet was terrorizing Tyria.

Also, now after defeating Zhaitan, he now holds all the strongest weapons against Dragons , organizations (Priory,Order,Vigil), the 5 major races, and even Destiny’s Edge along with the Commander (You) under his command.

I say he’s intentionally leading us all into a trap, which would then let Mordremoth have free reign over Tyria.

The Pact didn’t participate against Scarlet because the organization is meant to fight dragons. And also, they were still recovering from the assault on Zhaitan, which was no small feat. The Pact had a huge resource loss after the Orr invasion and many soldiers died.

The whole Scarlet arc just didn`t make much sense in terms of scaling.

There should have been a lot more ressources used, by each race seperatly.

The pact being there is just another point, where things were just ignored for the story (or forgotten).

Let`s face it, Tyria in Season 1 was just stupid.

Which is weird enough on its own. You’d think Caithe might have mentioned to her dear brother ‘hey, that thing you’re rushing to engage? I thought you should know you and a fifth of your forces have a latent predisposition to obeying it." Especially considering that she tells us when we find her that it doesn’t really matter who knows anymore.

I honestly think, nobody really understood what Scarlet was up to, her motives still aren’t clear. The ONLY known fact is she was under Mordremoth’s influence somehow. But yeah… I just don’t think anyone knew she was going to wake Mordremoth, at least not until it was too late. And agree with the previous statements, a lot of Tyria’s military was weakened from Zhaitan, also, as shown in detail in season 2, the racial armies are pretty busy with their own affairs, such as Charr and the Ghosts. Other races, like the Asura, weren’t convinced of the worth of sending troops, and so on. It also seems, nobody, except Caithe, had ANY clue what Scarlet wanted, they didn’t even know who Mordremoth was yet.

The pact was preparing to fight against Karalkatorrik at the time. They are also probably helping other races defend against encroachment of primordius and Jormag (not to mention still killing the undead).
