Story mission: "Setting the Stage"
We first learned about it from the novel Edge of Destiny, but I thought it became pretty obvious through most of Logan’s interactions in the human personal story before Setting the Stage. In any case, it’s hardly a secret to anyone: Logan is desperately in love with Queen Jennah. I don’t think it’s ever revealed if she returns his feelings at all, but she certainly benefits from his dedication to protect her. You can also see this pretty clearly in Cadecus Manor, story path.

Definitely understood who he was in love with but the actual incident with her (him running away from a fight for her for some reason) was never covered and I haven’t had a chance to do the dungeons.
I might pick up that book then, really enjoying the game and story and would love to learn more. Thank you!
The incident with Snaff is revealed to the player in Edge of Destiny novel or the dungeon story missions (which story chronology happen after Setting the Stage), specifically Sorrow’s Embrace which has a recap of the climax of the novel. The character knows about it because it’s a famous event that happened to a famous group of people.
There are other mentions of this event throughout the game, such as at least one norn skaald, as well as many hints mostly throughout the Personal Story (both before and after Setting the Stage, but primarily in the final story step of chapter 3 when talking to your DE mentor, Setting the Stage, and A Vision of Darkness which is later on).
As an aside, the story modes for the dungeons are all the continuation of that event in Setting the Stage (which has a hint/lead in to the first dungeon story mode, Ascalonian Catacombs), and rejoins the personal story for the finale (Victory or Death) so be sure to do them in order from hereon before you fight Zhaitan for the full story.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

Hey!
I know its an oldish thread, but i just finished “Setting the Stage” – Its a bit messed up cause before the revamp you could do this story mission at lvl30 (or below). Now you get the Ascalonian Catacomb at 30, and if youre like me, going for the story first, then you get a bit confused, Eir mentioned she has an idea and she has to leave from the Setting the stage mission – the AC story was her idea. And yeah, i dont know much about destinys edge either, they didnt really mention what happened to them.
And to Rognik.2579;
It was obvious when Jennah said “I have enough servants—I want a partner. Logan must be free to make his own decisions. I made such a mistake once before. I won’t make it again.” – What was that mistake tho? Is it connected to Rytlocks anger?
Sorry for necroing and bad english.

You will get these answers later on, if you do the dungeon stories.
each of them will delve into the personal relationships of the Guild and what split them appart.
