First off I want to give credit to those in Anet who create the lore of this universe in my opinion they’ve done a great job!!! I have read up a bit on the Jotun and I think that they are my new favorite race next to Asura (Love those guys!), very interesting how they went from such a strong race and over time diminished into their current form. I was wondering if there is any artwork (cannon or non-cannon is cool)out there depicting these ancient “Strong Blood” Jotun and how they differed from the current Jotun. This is before the civil wars and before the physical changes. I’ve scoured the net and haven’t found anything. Thank you

I doubt you’ll find any canon images, given that we don’t honestly know much pre-elder dragons and I doubt anyone can show you a real picture of the jotun back during their prime.

Yeah, there isn’t likely to be anything depicting their old state. Concept art is used for conceptions of possible in game things, so you’ll find concept art of Jotun as you see them now/similar to now, but not their past form.

There are some in-universe depictions/descriptions, according to an NPC in northern Dredgehaunt (the Priory base in jotun ruins, forgot location and NPC name and too lazy to look it up atm) which says that according to what they’ve found, they looked a lot better than they do now.

But I doubt we’d actually see these things, unless those ethereal faces in GW1’s dungeons were ancient jotun.
