Ok, let’s start saying that I ‘m probably speculating too wildly, but I’d like to know what you guys think nevertheless.

A little bit of context.

What we know:
- Sylvari can be corrupted by Mordremoth
- The Pale Tree is supposed to be able to protect them from corruption
- Sylvari are getting corrupted only now that the dragon is awake
- They were born while the dragon was sleeping
- The Pale Tree was supposed to be Mordremoth general

Now, I guess we can define Sylvari as dragon general’s children.
As gw1 destroyers, with the difference that the Great Destroyer was still allied with his dragon.
The Pale Tree seems to be free from the dragon influence, as Glint was.

What I want to say is… Aren’t chances very high that Glint’s children will be easily corrupted by Kralkatorrik?

Sure, the dragons are very different and so are their generals.
But still, it’s a pretty big risk.

What do you think?

That’s a fair concern. To extend it one step further- the Pale Tree seems to play an active role in the protection, and the speculation is that her current infirmity is at the very least a contributing factor to the sudden turning of sylvari. If (and we don’t know this for a fact) Glint worked on the same principles… well, Glint’s dead now. That’d leave the baby dragons completely vulnerable. Maybe that’s why it’s imperative something special be done with the egg?

I would think that the baby would be like Glint in that, its body appears corrupted due to its affiliation with Glint and the Kralkatorik but like Glint, its mind would remain free based on how its influenced early on in its life.
