The Diary of Rod the Hammersmith

Day 1
We arrived at the coast of Amnoon oasis. The leader of the guild was in a hurry to get us here before the others. All around us is sand. I do not like this climate. And this map we have is outdated. We’ll wait until dark, and then continue to the oasis.
Day 2
Oasis is beautiful. Nothing like the shore where we landed. I’d like to stay here for a while. Unfortunately, we have to leave it. I do not look forward to the heat and sand.
Two days ago, scouts noticed another guild to raise the foundations of the fortress near Hero’s Audience. We proposed the guild leader to build our fortress next to the oasis, but he’s got his eye on the ruins of Thirsty River. Ships with the material for the construction should have already sailed from Lion’s Arc. How much material we have gathered, the chances are that he plans to build a city, rather than usual fortifications. Crazy man. I just hope that we will get there before the others. If at all we get there.

It was planed to be a mix of suggestions and storytelling. But yes. It could be placed there too.
Day 3
This is terrible. No Norn deserves this kind of torture. If near water, dense vegetation protects you from heat of the sun, but mosquitoes do not give you peace. Cursed bloodsuckers. And if you try that run away from them, you are exposed to the harsh heat. To make matters worse, we ran into branded creatures. They just crawled out of the sand. And in such numbers that joined with four other groups we barely managed to destroy them. Ten of our men died. Many are injured. 200 people took part in the battle. And we barely stepped into the crystal desert.
I should have applied for a naval expedition. I heard that half of the members of the guildĀ that remained in Lion’s Arch finishes collecting the materials necessary to build galley. So far, they have already built several small merchant ships. That’s life. You sail on a beautiful ship, fight against pirates and sea monsters, enjoy it in the summer breeze away from these.. these… mosquitoes.

Day 5
For two days we have been under constant attacks. Branded creatures do not let us rest. One of the guilds, Igne Luxuriae, joined us in the fight. We shared forces so that they build outpost while we take care of the attacks. We also started to collect fragments of crystals creatures we destroyed. The number of these crystals will show who had the greatest impact on the front. I heard that at a meeting of guild leaders, they voted that only the most influential can participate in the construction of new cities. If there is no change, there will be three cities, and five guilds will participate per each. Thirsty River is one of the sites planned for construction. That explains why E. B. has chosen that we right there.
Far as I understood, as soon as the construction of Igne’s outpost is completed, we move south to Hero’s Audience. Desert Moon, one of the guilds, finishes working on fortification there. Hopefully, will have some rest before we continue to east.
