The Elder "Dragons"
Fully possible. Though I would point out that we have seen Primordus’ bust in EotN.
Personally, though, I think ArenaNet may have a ball pushing the limit of what it means to be a dragon, but will not deviate entirely from the baseline. All of the ED concept art we’ve seen are forms that could be called draconic. Bubbles being a turtle (along the line of the Canthan precedent) or a sea serpent is perfectly possible, and the jungle dragon might end up being something along the lines of an Aztec feathered serpent (but not phoenix), but I think ent would be pushing it… although really ents don’t necessarily have a set-in-stone morphology either. Primordus won’t be a phoenix, partially because as mentioned above we already know what his head looks like (though he could have more than one) and partially because a creature whose main locomotion is through flight is useless underground.
Hope that Bubble is an Octupus-dragon
psh everyone knows bubbles is a gigantic Pistol shrimp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKPrGxB1Kzc
(couldn’t resist) lookout its dragon breath like powers come form its claw.

And can turn into a Sharknado!
A fantasy of sci-fi cyborg implants grafted into the desiccated flesh of Guild Wars’ corpse.
And has a laserbeam on its head (attached by yours truly. XOXOX, Scarlet)!
In seriousness, ever since Edge of Destiny I could never view the Elder Dragons as “Dragons” – and Zhaitan’s appearance gives me the same feeling. Rather, I’d call them “Elder Draconic-Looking Eldritch Abominations” (EDLEA). I wouldn’t go to the point of saying Primordus is a phoenix (we see him in GW1 – and of what we see, he seems to have tendril/spikes coming out of his collar bone, and a distinct lack of limbs at where one would expect his shoulders to be – e.g., no forearms or wings).
This is only further supported when looking at some of the Elder Dragon concept art pieces.
I mean, would you call any of these “dragons”?

“Draconic” sure, but “Dragon” … no, not really.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
hmm those pictures make me think of modremoth “The Dragon’s Head”, and “left hand of the dragon” made me think of the great jungle wurms and while we had seen wurms elsewhere I don’t remember ever seeing any in the maguma jungle in Guild wars 1. Possibility that jungle wurms are minions of modremoth possible more supported by the great jungle wurm world event.

I think there was wurm in the Maguuma jungle . They were called Behemoth i think
In GW1, there was a big difference between behemoths and wurms. I suppose it does remain to be seen rather that difference is honored though.
However they were still wurk-like entities. Always viewed them to be cousin species or some such.
As to those two concept arts being wurms… I can see that for the left hand of the dragon but both were for Zhaitan or his dragon champs (it isn’t clear which but the title of them and Kekai’s later theming of making Zhaitan a dragon made of dragons… Points to the former). Nonetheless though they’re tied to Zhaitan, not Modremoth.

If they go with a tree root theme for Mordremoth, I can see the behemoths and/or wurms being possibly minions, or extensions of the dragon itself. I would find it kinda weird, if they did something like that though. Stationary dragon minions? Doesn’t seem right. Maybe if they can burrow super fast to chase after us maybe…
If the Great Jungle Wurm is a dragon minion of Mordremoth, then it has corrupted grubs and husks.
Not like other dragons don’t have stationary minions anyways…

before all this talk of the elder dragons that are still destroying the word btw ANet. we need to get of pointless living story bs with some bat crap cazy plant lady and focus on the elder dragons again.
