Fellow Tyrians,

I am working on a Guild Wars related song and as I am now in the recording process a thought struck me; Perhaps it would be nice to add some lines in the spoken Tyrian language. I have looked around and if there is a spoken version of Krytan language I have not yet been able to find it. ( did find the written version)

Can anyone perhaps help me with this? If there is not any then it is to bad but it would be a nice addition.

Thank you in advance,
Jea

They speak in the “common” language (aka English).
New Krytan, Krytan and Ascalonian are only written languages – they’re still spoken as English.

Obviously Asura, Charr and Norn have their own languages – but we don’t see them spoken in game apart from a few words and those races have all used the common language for quite some time.

Technically speaking, it isn’t “common” – that’s a fan-made term taken from other fantasy games such as D&D – but rather “Tyrian Human”.

Rest is as FlamingFoxx said. We never actually hear any non-English (or w/e you have the sound options set to), beyond ahai (Elonian dialect), fahrar (charr language), and bookah (asuran folklore creature’s name). There is a spoken Canthan language – but we never hear it (we do see it written out in Factions though – Kurzick too).

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
