Guild Wars 2

Hi there folks,

I have been wandering around Lion’s Arch and I have found something, or should I say some “Things” I suppose you have seen them but not really paid attention to it. A pic of one of the things:

I believe I saw it spawning a few twisted mender as they had suddenly killed me when I was afk ing and checking if the screenshot was right but I am not sure. I believe however, that this is insignificant so I will not consider this “just a minion spawner” but something bigger as it is a completely new model.

There are four of them, at least as far as I have discovered. If you want to look for it yourself I am pretty sure I looked in the whole southwest area. Look at shores near the sea.

The ones I discovered are all near the drill as you can see.
The interesting thing is, they al face directly towards the center of the drill.
I have tried to make screenshots to show that, they can be found in this album. At some points I was nearly dead and being stomped bij Aetherblades, which resulted in a bad screenshot.

Well thats really it. Sort of an anticlimax I know but I wanted to share. One more thing though. I have put a screenshot of the drill in the album as you can see. The drill is just drilling and inding its own business (unlike me) and from the drill some sort of blueish smokelike substance is coming. I first thought this was just water that was being pusched away by the force of the drill but when I was swimming towards some of the things, I looked up to it and a helix with the same blueish colour was rising from it. It immediately dissapeared though so it might have been my low environment settings or a bug, but I am certain I have seen it and it was pretty similar to the blue from the drill. This might be that Scarlet is trying to harvest literary all magic possible for something we dont know what. Last time such random appearance and vanishing of something happened was during an event where Steam Portals appear (random event, not implying connection to Steam creatures) and the portals kind of just popped up before the event started and vanisched when I walked towards it, so this blue helix shape could be part of a future release event, who knows. I will edit this post if you guys or I find something new.

EDIT: Guys I had another “halucination” at the same spot. I made a screenshot this time. It was again from very far away so it is not really visible if you dont know where to look, so I drew it for you.

I assumed that too until I saw the one in the lower left corner on the map I gave. This is so hard to reach that it isnt really viable as a teleportation device to get into the drill. If this was the purpose of the things, ArenaNet wouldnt have even bothered with putting one there. This is why I think they are meant for something else and why I was interested in them more.

There really isnt much to speculate about them as they dont even have a name and noone mentiones something about it.

They are probably some kind of cage that will be used to hold down the 4 arms of the dragon that is going to come out of that hole.

I’d guess that they’d be connected to the drill in some way, perhaps a portal tech that allows troops inside the drill to come out? Then Vorrp comes to the rescue and inverts the portal again and allows us inside where we shoot Scarlet out of a cannon aimed directly at a cliffside. On a side-note: new PoI in LA, the Scarlet Splatter. Basically a strangely green paste on the side of a cliff somewhere.

My bet is portal tech. Maybe that fourth one to the west is intentionally hard to get to for some reason.
