but if we kill scarlet now, how would she have been able to come back form the future to attack our time frame? I feel like this obvious issue has been discussed, but i dont hang out on the lore forums that much, and i cant see such an obvious paradox happening in gw2 without at least a little complaint.

I don’t recall it being discussed. I also do not recall it ever being proven that Scarlett was from the future/future-alternative timeline. Pretty sure it was mostly unfounded speculation.

WoodenPotatoes brought this theory into play I think, or at least he made it popular. He has a lot of theories which are fun to watch, but usually pretty outlandish.

^That theory was before we truly learnt about Scarlet, ala “What Scarlet Saw” (if I’m remembering correctly). Currently, she’s from our timeline/present.

Indeed. The theory that she is from the future has been disproven. Though to note, WP was not the first to theorize such. He just did so when there was the most support for it, thus making him most credible in the theory, riiiiight before it got debunked.
