So, what gives with the island SW of Lion’s Arch (and West of Laughing Gull Island) that has a fort and a number of ships around it———-appears to be “fully explored” but is unreachable from anywhere?? (And no, I’m not talking about the new disaster that ANET perpetrated this past weekend).

That’s Claw Island. It’s a fort for the Lionguard and defends Lion’s Arch from the sea. It is only accessible during the personal story.

It makes you wonder really, what half-baked plans were the Consortium advertising there? Did they decide to just claim Southsun Cove for themselves and start opening resorts, inviting tourists for a quick buck? You’d think they’d do a more thorough survey of the land and get some infrastructure first, heheh. I think I’ll continue to trust my funds to the Black Lion Company, personally…

Pretty much.

The Consortium, asuran established, seems to have few morals (though much more than the Inquest) and are simply out there to make money.
