G’day mates!
I have a question for all you chaps that may be wondering the same, or knows something about it.
I recently attended to a Norn main mission, where she appearntly become Honory Member of their Warband. I don’t know the name of the mission, but it doesn’t really matter.

What I am curious about.. Is that actually possible, if we say that the Norn is trusted enough? I guess it’d only be Norn, since Charr and Norn get along as they do.
So. If we say the Norn has proven him-/herself, would they be able to join a Warband?

Strickly speaking, if its the story Im thinking of, I get the feeling your hooked up with their warband to pay off losing their vehicle. In a way its how they intergrate you into their command structure.

As for being considered a perminant part of the warband its hard to say. Maybe, if you should you were worth it. Kind of like a close family friend.

I haven’t played this mission, but I could see them just a praiseworthy thing. Not literraly, the Norn is now in a Charr warband, but it’s like ’You’re a good friend, helping us out’ kind of thing

Ahh. Alright. I don’t really play a Norn myself, by a Charr. I was helping a friend with her story mission, and they happened to mention this. But yes, the whole family thing made me think an extra time about it.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the “Good friend” thing. Seeing as the main mission always try to make you seem really special.
None the less, thank you for your replies! I really appreciate it. =)

Given that a warband is like a family (while also being like a squad in a military context) it makes sense to me that charr would name someone an ‘honourary’ member of the warband if they contributed and were liked by the group, the same way we might consider someone an honourary member of a family if they are well-known, well-liked, and take on the obligations associated with family membership.

The idea I had for my sylvari engineer (for roleplay etc) was that he went to the Black Citadel to find a charr to teach him engineering, and proved himself so good-humoured and useful that his master’s warband ‘adopted’ him as an honourary member (although I imagine the charr think of him more like a mascot!). That’s how he got the surname ‘Autumnforge’ (and I got the name I wanted by adding a surname at character creation )

Now, remind me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Rytlock give Logan a Blood Legion Pendant as a sign of being in a warband together, in a sense. (seeing as obviously Rytlock isn’t in a warband at that point in time)

You’re right about the pendant, I’d forgotten that. It’s sort of honourary Blood Legion membership in that case, but definitely an example of the same concept. I think it’s just uncommon for charr to find a non-charr who they think is worthy of the legions!
