Watchnights using Kralkatorrik's energy
I more had the feeling it had to do with Mesmer magic than a relation to Kralkatorik. Do remember ALOT of Mesmer magic is at work at this event.
When the charr legendary is up, it sends Searing Crystals striking everywhere. I suspect that it’s related to that since there’s already hints of the Searing being related to Kralkatorrik’s energy.
I do suspect that the Watchknight’s another technological advancement that Scarlet is after – after stealing Dragon Bash hologram projectors, possibly being related to the Molten Alliance and their tech advancement, and allying with the Inquest… seems everything she may be related with has something tech-related.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
i wouldn’t take the combat log seriously here.
Yeah, seems more likely that they just reused the attack from branded and forgot to change the combat log entry.

I was kind of disappointed that the Aetherblades didn’t steal LA’s projector. If they were able to hack it with the stolen hologram crystals, they would have had a portable super weapon in the form of a point and click Shatterer.
I guess we will have to see how these different techs come together in the end…
Went and saw the combat logs. Saw they’re from the direct attacks of the Watchknights so I retract my statement before and now go with “most likely what Tuomir said” – though I find it odd that they used the Branded Beam and not Spatial Surge or w/e the mesmer greatsword 1 skill is (same animation at least). But yeah, I wouldn’t put much stock in the combat log since that’s mechanics and I doubt they put too much attention in it. Heck, most monster skills don’t even have names.
@Erukk: Isn’t the projector still there? It can still be stolen.
However, unlike the smaller projectors, the Shatterer one didn’t seem to be… solid, I guess would be the way to say it. It often flew or whipped its tail through various places.
