So,

I was wondering if Gorseval was a titan, since titans in the GW universe are a collective mass of tormented spirits… which is quite similar to Gorseval.

A popular theory, but we can’t really confirm or deny it. I think of him as very similar to a titan, but not quite the same. Yes titans were also made of tormented souls, but they were created in a special manner by the Fury, which gave them their special properties (split into smaller version, copy traits of the environment they touch etc.). Gorseval lacks both of these properties. So he is similar in origin, but I’m not sure if we can call him a titan yet.

Gorseval actually has that second property – just as the titans in the Realm of Torment are made of the fleshy land, Gorseval is made of the flesh of the bodies it forms around.
