What is the Deep Sea Dragon's Name?

We don’t know what that was, actually. It was just three dragon heads popping out of a sea at a coastal city that seems to be LA.
TBH seems small to be the DSD itself so would most likely just be a dragon champion.
Small? lol Maybe compared to Mordremoth. It looked bigger than Zhaitan though.
I guess this means Bubbles is out. Still holding out hope for Salty Pete, though.
Here it is
It’s hard to say but do you see the ship on the wave in the water? It seems bigger than the other current dragons.
@cptaylor: Mordremoth and Zhaitan are actually roughly the same size, really, if you don’t count all the corruption growing from Mordremoth’s body (or Zhaitan being only half a body when we fight him).
@Andraus: The concept art for Zhaitan had him much larger than that compared to ships of similar size. has him pretty large compared to ships of that size.

Well, about the name of Selbbub, it’s dificult to say that will be an correct name based on a legend or something, all the others Elder Dragons have names that are close to what they are based;
Zhaitan is “Shaitan” (Satan on the Islamic version), Jormag is based on “Jormungandr” (One of the sons of Loki, the serpent that revolves the world), Krakaltorrik being based on the volcanic island of Krakatoa, and Mordremoth is based of Mordred from the Arthurian legend.
I believe the name will not be solely based on water, but on something that resemble it (like, sirens, islands, Idk… I like to joke that it name would be “Saeren” because it resemble Siren, but that’s just an rp player dream)
Consider that Orr is very Arabic/Islamic in naming, and the Norn are very nordic; so it wouldn’t be odd to see the DSD resembling the naming of aquatic races.
I’d namely look at krait first, largos second, and quaggan third. Krait naming is often resembling Greek and Latin in origin (in gw1 at least). Largos also has some Greek origins – their “Tethyos Houses” name could be coming from the Greek Titan goddess of the sea: Tethys; and Largo itself is an Italian/Portugese name (which derives from Latin).
So I’d say looking into Greek/Roman myths for S-named sea creatures could lead to a hint of the DSD’s name. In which case, Scylla is a good possible root for whatever its name will be.
I, however, will always call it Scleritethin.

The hinted picture of it had 3 heads if I remember correctly. That might play into its name.
I would not call that picture “hinted at” at all. It’s concept art, and it has never been see officially in-game yet. It’s easily possibly that it could not be used or they might go with a different design altogether.

Maybe your definition of “hint” is different from mine. But I used hint to mean a suggestion. It may or may not be true. Who knows.
