Lv.80 Scrapper (Alchemist Persenia)
Lv.80 Druid (Mender Zalintyre)
I was wondering what weapon to use, to appear more like a Alchemist? I’m a Engineer and I am a role player who’s character is focusing more in the arts of alchemy.
Elixir Gun maybe? I usually use the flamethrower for PvE (I hate grenades), it’s much better than it’s reputation and also fits the alchemist approach if you ask me. In addition it has some nice synergies with the alchemy trait line.
Alchemy, hmm?
If we’re talking rifles try this one . . .
Super Hyperbeam Alpha or bust!
Most of the weapon kits involve alchemy to a greater or lesser degree – the elixir gun being the most obvious, but all explosives in GW2 are chemical or magical explosives, and flamethrower fuel is probably regarded as alchemy. Of course, the closest to the traditional ’explosive potion throwing alchemist) is (sigh) probably the grenade kit.
Of the default weapons, pistol/pistol, definitely. Pretty much every pistol skill involves the engineer having done something weird to the bullet – packing it with explosives, poisoning it, replacing it with incendiaries to make it a dragon’s breath round, and so on. Rifle skills, on the other hand, are more mechanical, with no interesting chemistry beyond how much powder is used.

ah now this makes sense. I’ll have to go with P/P then. And use the kits as compliments. Magic guns are fueled by alchemy, and with the engi pistol skills, it does seem more alchemic
