Killed, apprehended, or even redeemed…what do you think that her fate will be?

I’ve seen a number of theories that suggest that Scarlett is actually acting to prevent the elder dragons from gaining power. So in a strange, roundabout way, she would be redeemed at the end of the arc. I don’t personally subscribe to that…

I think we’re going to kill her. First, because I don’t think she can be stopped in any other way. Second, because most players (basically 99%) would consider it insulting if we went through a year’s worth of stories of destruction, murder, and poisoning only to let the villain go. To many, it would be completely unsatisfying.

I don’t see her being redeemable, or her going willingly if she was ever apprehended. I’m guessing that when we do kill her, since I see her going down fighting if she can’t escape, her death will be the catalyst to whatever is next story wise. Whether that is the next Elder Dragon or the next LS arc is anyone’s guess.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Scarlet has a dead man’s switch on whatever the heck she is planning/making. Once she’s down, whatever it is either gets released or explodes catastrophically.

I would love to see a mix of this.
In the end, she exclaims that all she did was for the greater good, after which she suffers a classic breakdown when everyone rejects her for the manner in which she went about with it. So many innocents ended up dead, much of the world scarred in her wake. The heroes would want to at least lock her away to overthink what she did. And ultimately, she’d suffer a mental breakdown and lash out at the heroes. Being left with no choice, as she is a very dangerous individual, they end up killing her.

The heroes being a mix of NPC’s we’ve seen involved so far, and the player characters who have supported them all through.

One can hope, right?

Redemption could only honestly be in a sort of “lesser of two evils” setting. Somehow her actions, however evil, prevent a greater evil from occurring. No matter what, though, her actions are in fact evil, so she will never be a “good guy.” A true protagonist, especially in Tyria, would always try to find the way to save everyone and not hurt people in the process, as opposed to killing a few to save a lot.

I’d say, along the line of Erukk, that Scarlet’s end would have to be bloody. There is no way that she would give up, and if we were able to stop her she would most likely be executed for her crimes. Her “silver-tongued” nature would make her too dangerous to leave alive, and to be honest, her crimes are well worthy of execution in almost any/every nation around.
