Where is Keiran Thackeray tombstone???
Gwen trauma with trusting others did never stop. With her position as leader of the Ebonhawke the pressure made it bigger and her rants and screams increased in a dangerous way. One day Gwen saw Keiran saying “good morning” to Evennia that was around (we never see her again after GW1 mysterious dissappearance, but she later was sent to Ebonhawke to help as part of the Ascalon-Kryta treaty), and in her demented state she could only see how the man she risked to trust her love was directing his atention to another beautiful woman.
Gwen went berserker and attacked them with powerful magic vaporizing both of them in a matter of seconds.
She had to be restrained and the others at Ebonhawke told her a different story about what happened when her sanity returned, and never built Keiran’s or Evennia’s tombstones so she wouldn’t remember that traumatic day triggering her berserker state again.
Her descendants were told that new made up story so they weren’t shameful of their ancestor, former honorable heroes until that happened.

That still doesn’t answer the question on where is his tombstone?
He’s probably in one of those mausoleums surrounding the upper level of the graveyard.
There’s a memorial to him and Langmar next to Gwen’s gravestone, isn’t there? He’s probably buried right next to his wife. That’s how folks tend to do things in rl, probably how it was done there.
Or they never recovered his body if he died on a sorte. Which would explain the memorial.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
There was no mentioned of him though in the memorial….. is that even his tombstone beside Gwen’s?
Ah, right. It was to Gwen Thackeray, not Keiran Thackeray. Bad memory is bad.

Now that I re-read what I wrote before… it would be priceless if something like that actually happened xD

It’s not worthless, the devs may used it now to explain that…
While it would explain everything, but that would make Gwen lost some credibility…… or something…..

Whoooops english words mixing in my head, I meant priceless instead of worthless hehe.
Still, I wonder what the devs are going say about this? Where in the world is Keiran’s tombstone?
Bump
Seriously? No one cares about Keiran in GW lore?
I stand by what I said earlier- that he is probably in a mausoleum, not a grave. He’s high enough in rank and profile to merit it, without being some symbol that the people need to be able to visit.
Do we know how he died exactly? Did they even find his body?

Nope. One more GW1 character whose fate is not explained…
In which case maybe they simply didn’t have any body to bury. And thus, no grave.

There would still be a grave stone to at least mentioned there was once a Keiran, but since there is none. And even if he was placed in the mausoleum, it would make him really that insignificant that his tombstone can’t be placed beside his own wife’s tombstone? Talk about not giving him any respect. Just because he screwed up before doesn’t mean he needs to be shown the middle finger because of that! What about the things he did right?
His wife was commander of the Ebon Vanguard, and leader, founder, and protector of the last holdout of the kingdom of Ascalon. Whatever Kieran did right, he was never such an icon.
Understandable…. but at least give him a headstone or something. I would think as the partner to the hero of the Ebon Vanguard, a headstone beside his wife would be fitting for him even with all his flaws or mistakes…..

Well that is one way to look at it.
Another is that if he went missing while Gwen was alive she would have held hope for his survival until her own death. He has done it once before, he could do it again. Why not put one after Gwen’s death? Just a continuation of what Gwen wanted. Putting one up right after her death could be a bit like disrespecting her wishes(perhaps something like “no grave unless there is definitive proof of Keiran’s death”).
