Who is this scarlet?
She’s a sylvari genius, who’s mastered engineering disciplines of half a dozen races. She participated in an asuran experiment which was supposed to allow her to see the Eternal Alchemy (aka inner workings of the universe), but it broke her and she came out of it insane and trying to… well, we still don’t know exactly what. She’s attacked the norn, charr, and Lion’s Arch through proxies, and Kryta directly, and she’s been causing widespread chaos across Tyria of a questionably canon nature. There are a load of theories about her, since she’s the main character of the Living Story and ANet’s been kittenrd with information about her. She currently has the Molten Alliance (dredge and Flame Legion), the Aetherblades (sky pirates), Twisted Watchworks (stolen human robots), and Toxic Alliance (krait and Nightmare Court) at her disposal. After the formation of each of these, she came away with some new spectacular engineering innovation that she uses in her future projects. Currently she has forces guarding sonic probes throughout Tyria (the purpose of which is unknown), and is testing out a new superweapon in Lornar’s Pass.
The most recent patch has revealed that entity was whispering in her mind since before the experiment, and during the experiment she confronted it directly. She’s now driven to find whatever it is, though the playerbase is divided on her motive.
