just a thought
1. Concept art of a female centaur: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/9/9e/Centaur_07_concept_art.jpg
Also you should pay more attention, they are in fact in the game, usually the ones that fire rifles.
2. Sylvari are formed after humans, so they copy even the stuff they don’t need (genitals and bellybuttons are just a few)
The Harathi has plenty of centaur ladies. Half of their population in-game appear to be such. Though I don’t recall any Tamini or Modniir females at the moment, I’m sure they still exist. But they come from the north (northern Maguuma Jungle, aka Maguuma Wastes, northern Shiverpeak Mountains, and seemingly the southern Woodland Cascades).
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
1: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Harathi_Sharpshooter You can see a lot of those
2: Thats not a bellybutton?
To be more serious. I think that it is the same function but plantlike. A silvari is grown like a pea in a pod, so they are connected to the pod (and and so indirectly to the pale tree). Given the humanoid looks of the silvari it does look like the pod functions as the womb, and they are connected to the pale tree throught a string, wich I imagine is connected to the belly-button.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
-why does sylvaris have belly buttons? I can overlook the female sylvari with boobs part (personifying I guess? but biologically they dont need it?), but…bellybuttons?
“This originates from specific growth sockets. The primary growth socket starts at the small of the back, where a tail might grow. Like many fruits and vegetables, there are two ends: the main stem and the opposing divot (which makes a really good belly button).”
And a man who trusts no one is a fool.
We are all fools, if we live long enough.”
