So I don’t have any solid evidence here but it is clear from a few cut scenes that they care of each others well being. I could also explain y rytlock seams to have a bit of a soft spot for her at times.

I hope this isn’t the case, its cool that broham has that connection with eir but if rox and rytlock have it as well it would cheapen the story between eir and broham because its almost the same story. maybe if the mother of rox is someone rytlock loved but couldn’t be with for xyz reason. That would be a interesting place to take there story.

That’s another thought I had which is also just as possible

There was datamined dialogue that hinted that Rox and Rytlock are half-siblings (they share the same mother), although we’ve never actually seen this in-game, so it can’t be counted as canon. They are almost certainly related in some way though.

knew there had to been some connection thought father daughter or least a daughter to adoptive father type connection.

as well it could be her lost warband and well her freaking out at end of the story made sense cause she doesn’t want to lose her warband again

Siblings have always made a it more sense to me (if we had to have a relationship), given the nature of Charr families sibling relationships aren’t valued highly. More importance is placed on the warband relationships which basically transplants the classic family relationships (Charr don’t even seen to take their of their parent’s surnames). Looking at the Personal Story parent / child relationships aren’t exactly all that important either but are given a bit more importance.

According to dialogue that was unused for the original end of Season 1 where Marjory was killed off, Rytlock is Rox’s half-brother, older supposedly. The dialogue in E3 rather hints at some long-standing relation.

Since the dialogue was unused however, they can change it to “very old friends” or “their fahrars were next to each other” or something else like that if they want.

The thing about charr families is that the cub is taken from the parents at a very young age, probably as soon as they are weaned, and placed into warbands. I wouldn’t be surprised if some charr didn’t even know they were related to each other. We also know that parental bonds are weak through the Vigil storyline, where Almorra basically has us kill Ajax who is her own son. While she mourns, she understands it had to be done. This doesn’t mean blood ties aren’t important at all, just that it’s not as strong as human bonds.

We do know Rytlock and Rox have some kind of bond, more than just legionnaire and soldier, but I don’t think we know definitely how they knew each other before. Sadly, with Rytlock off Mistwalking, he won’t be talking any time soon and Rox doesn’t seem to be volunteering.

I doubt they’re father and daughter related. My guess is that she is just one of his ’rookie’ warband member who he had always looked after for.
You know.. sometimes you find someone special and you threat her/him alot more than you usually do to your others folks.
He’s yelling at her and keep saying that she’s a failure etc etc. bla bla bla.. Only because Rytlock cares about Rox... Sooo cute though.

Sooo… Rytlock is a tsundere?
