Ogden is the Great Dwarf with all his brethren, sworn to keep the Elder Dragon Primordius in the .. wherever it was they left him..
If an elder dragon got past them.. don’t you think we would’ve gotten a message from Ogden in any way one or another.. I doubt Ogden would’ve just .. forgotten about his races’ duty..
I would think his involvement with Glint and with the Priory are his version of his race’s duty – assisting in the fight against all dragons, not just Primordus.
As for why Ogden didn’t let us know, I can think of a couple of reasons. He’s show a tendency towards a need-to-know approach to sharing info – for example not revealing who gave the Master to Peace the egg because we’re not ready to know yet. The other reason is, would he know? The general assumption is that the dwarves have died out fighting destroyers over the centuries, and even if they haven’t, are there any line of communication between them and Ogden?
They do not have telepathy or a hive mind, so no. Ogden has no clue what has happened to the dwarves. We know Primordus has been moving around for the past 200 years (we were told by devs before the game launched), and we know that there’s been zero contact with the underground dwarves. We’ve had heavy hints that the dwarves had been wiped out for years since Edge of Destiny came out.
No lore hole, you’re just complaining to complain at the moment.
And Ogden’s “race’s duty” is to kill the dragons, this is why he’s been helping the Durmand Priory in fighting the Elder Dragons. He’s just using his head instead of his hammer, unlike other dwarves who underwent the ritual.

Well, we already knew primordus had moved and risen in the ring of fire, so there would be nothing new to tell us. Plus its likely most of the dwarves are wiped out, with whatever remants certainly not containing a fully powered up elder dragon to a single area.
Not sure what info Ogden would have for us really since he is not with his race anymore.
Its heavily implied Ogden was forced to become stone against his will; I can see him then refusing to join the mission underground out of sheer spite alone, nevermind actually wanting to stick around as well.
