Am i the only one who is having problems with following all stories except the personal story. I would like to see some sort of story teller in lets say bars inside the game. dont feel like the few dialogs between NPC’s are enough. please give me feedback with your thoughts and opinions

The story behind why Logan and Rytlock don’t get along is told via the book Edge of Destiny. It also tells the story of how Destiny’s Edge formed and why they ultimately went their separate ways. If you wish to know how the ceasefire between the humans and the charr came to be, I would suggest reading Ghosts of Ascalon.

Try checking local book stores such as Barnes & Noble.

Yeah, Ghosts of Ascalon and Edge of Destiny are real physical books that you can buy for more information on the game world.

as you progress through the dungeons, you’ll learn more about it.

There is also a third and final book called Sea of Sorrows, which apparently details the Rise of Orr and the rebuilding of Lion’s Arch over 100 years ago. However this book has not yet been released.

thanks for the info but still i want a sort of story teller in bars and such. like a scald who tells you let say for example the story behind the order of whispers, with some sort of cutscenes. abit like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARZWX51hYYk but of course much shorter.
what do you guys do to find information about ingame stuff, like logan an rytlock?

Well there is a personal story mission at lvl 30 that everyone goes through that gives some background as to the hate between each of the characters, also I usually just talk to everyone with a name to get any information I can. I know it can be a bit redundant, but it usually has some great gains to be made in our knowledge of the areas we are in.

Shorter that Woodenpotato’s summary? doubtful it could be done (BTW did you watched all of the videos? there is like 10 of them)

I +1 on the suggestion of reading Ghost of Ascalon and Edge of destiny, you can get them from amazon no need for a kindle get the free app for your phone or computer.

As for the order of whispers you can check out some lore here http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Whispers

Cancer is also a Zodiac sign.

Yeah, most info is from NPC dialogue, you just have to find them
You seem to have trouble keeping it all in, based on your initial post, but that just takes time. Browsing the wiki(s) can be of help, you’ll eventually remember things

a lot of the lore of the game comes from talking to every kitten NPC and interacting with every object with a non-generic name you can find, reading out all dialogue options, and even talking to the same NPCs multiple times throughout different segments of a single story mission.

that’s a lot of work, yes, but that’s how you get to really dig into the lore.

dungeons will present most of the story told in destiny’s edge (or at least the break-up part), and ghosts of ascalon is essentially lore exposition: a guide to guild wars 2.

cities are a major source of lore too.

last but not least, this board is full of topics that cover a lot of the lore already found in GW2, and the wiki covers a lot of it as well.
