the asura race ( spoiler ahead )
i think the asura are dangerous creatures if left unchecked. they use to blame the inquest for anything but the inquest are asura with even less moral restrains.
we tend to excuse the asuras because they give us nice things such as teleportation for free with the gates and teleportation for a fee when we use waypoints, making our world easy to travel and less dangerous. but i wonder what kind of experiments did the asura to learn how to make matter travel far distances? i wouldn’t be surprised at all if they made experiments on living creature before knowing they could have good results. even taimi, which is the youngest asura genious we know of, she sees the chance to get us all killed by some experiment gone wrong as something you can joke about, she often defended scarlet studies even when they were shady at best.
the thought of being alone in a room with an asura scare me more than being alone with a sylvari which are dragon minions
Join the Rainbow Pride
there is stile that other thing Scarlet
off all the sylvaris she the only 1 to build so much high tech stuff o.O
weapons robots airships you name it even her room was full off high tech
only way that she nows this is from asura i can’t think off any other way
when the sylavri are born the inquest already capture allot off sylvaris to test
so maybe also scarlet ??
i read in a other treat that Snaff even use mind control more freaking things about asura
not to mention in the personal story if you pick the right 1
its about 2 lovers tested a new build golem that only works with your mind
later in the fun house asura area you see how the inquest use a thing
to separate the souls off asura in to the golem i was omg there scary
and in the begin of LS2 its again the inquest that attack you ??
so i came to the conclusion that the asura are behind the dragons

Asurans are the metaphor for science in GW. Charr are industry.
Science is all about could’ve, not should’ve. So I agree our little gremlins could easily get out of control.

“He was the first sylvari to meet with another race, the asura, who promptly experimented on him.”

“The asura have offered peace. They did not realize that he… They thought he was simply another of the strange plants of the deep Maguuma, mimicking sentience,” Aife told them. “When they realized he was truly aware, they returned him to us.”
“Would you do evil in my name?” The Pale Tree sighed. “Would you cause devastation, as the charr do? Or justify wickedness in the name of knowledge, as the asura do? No, Cadeyrn. We come into this world to destroy the dragons. We must not lose ourselves in that challenge.”
I know the Asura tested on at least one Sylvari. But I don’t think they connected them to Mordremoth until he was revealed in the story. After all they would need Mordrem to compare their notes to and there are many Maguuma plants that did not come from the dragon.
But now that they do know of the dragon, and they do have Mordrem to compare it to. It is probable that the Asura know Sylvari are modified dragon minions, with or without the pale tree telling them.
However I think the Asura will be the least prejudice of the races in this respect. They believe in science and the eternal alchemy. So rather than hating all Sylvari they would just make calculations on the potential for corruption. They might experiment on them more often though. Seeing corrupted Sylvari as a challenge for them to revert through experiments.

I’m not so sure about that. They see the Skritt as something that must be purged because of what they’re capable of; Skritt don’t even have a mystical predisposition towards evil.

Quote? They definitely experiment on skirtt. Partially because of the hive mind intelligence they have.

“The skritt and the asura have long been enemies, beneath the surface of the world. Fighting over territory and resources for generations, the two races have perpetually been at one another’s throats. Commonly, the asura had the advantage—an asura, after all, is every bit as smart when alone as she is when she is with others—but the skritt reproductive cycle is faster, allowing them to retain their numbers even as the asura eradicate them. This leads the asura to massacre skritt as rapidly as possible, arguing that if they didn’t, the skritt would quickly overpopulate and be a massive threat to the civilized world.”
“Since then, the asura have renewed their war against the skritt, entreating other races to eradicate their furred enemy as well. Some races (such as the charr) are more than happy to do so, seeing the skritt as a pest to eradicate. Others, such as the humans and the sylvari, are more willing to talk to the skritt and make alliances. The skritt are often eager to do so, and more or less trustworthy…as long as they stay in a group large enough to provide sufficient brainpower to remember the conditions they agreed to respect. "
The asura had done a lot of research on dragon minions, both before and during the game, so it’s not surprising that the Arcane Council already had that information. Particularly if they’d performed other suppression beforehand that didn’t have heroic individuals intervene.
Regarding the sylvari-Mordremoth connection: there were hints that the Inquest might have figured it out, but nothing conclusive.

that’s what i think to that the Councillor is behind this the 1 member that no allot is
High Councillor Flax he even promote the inquest o.O ??
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/High_Councillor_Flax
also in LS2 its the inquest that attack your party in begin
also Councillor Phlunt cant be trusted why is he so interest in Taimi work and want to have it ??
so i stile think the inquest and the Councillor are behind this
Phlunt is slimy, but I don’t think he’s Inquest. He’s more like the professor who takes all the credit for the work of his research students than Inquest-level evil.
I don’t think Flax is Inquest either, but neither is he anti-Inquest. Basically, he seems to be pro-Asura (even at the expense of everyone else) and he sees the Inquest of being of value to asura interests, but doesn’t want it to become too powerful.

This is indeed quite messy. However it seems the Skritt have already been judged to be worthy of removal. I assume if the Sylvari are deemed worthy they will also attempt to eradicate them, but again with the help of the other races.

now that i run some arah dungeon P1 to P4
its seems that everything is done by the inquest
there is a much deeper connection to there movement everywhere you need to get info about that dragons there are also the inquest ??
and i think Scarlet did not build that high tech stuff alone its not sylvari style
am very very sure the Inquest have help her
the inquest must have no she was the key to awaken Mord ??
that’s so far i can think about it
all i can say that the Inquest play a very big roll with the dragons
but i cant figure it out yet
so far i did every LS2 there are inquest
Arah dungeon there are inquest
Inquest dungeon they tested on the undead to make them more powerful ??
also 1 off the counsel is a inquest o.O ??
so what are the inquest up to ??
i don’t see any flame legion or centaurs or sons of svanir
that’s so far i can think off atm
Well, you see all three in dungeons (centaurs only one fight, though). There were Flame Legion among Scarlet’s stooges right from the start of her storyline, and the Sons of Svanir keep popping up.
Largely, the Inquest is involved because:
1) They study dragons, and thus have a tendency to show up in regions where dragons or other items of interest to the PCs will be.
2) Their ‘sphere of influence’, based on Rata Sum, extends in a band from the eastern coast of the Sea of Sorrows (including Mt Maelstrom) to the Maguuma Wastes (the alliance with bandits would have given them access to the wastes), which happens to be similar to the areas that were of most interest for the Zhaitan and Mordremoth stories.
Chances are, if we move on to Jormag or Kralkatorrik, that’ll reduce the Inquest factor due to being further away from the Inquest’s home territory (which is the same as the asura home territory, more or less). For the Shiverpeaks in particular, off the top of my head I don’t think the Inquest is active in any of the areas directly influenced by Jormag (the closest is the Inquest in the Sorrow’s Embrace dungeon, a couple of hearts south of a Son of Svanir settlement).
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
The Inquest and Scarlet didn’t really work together, at least not directly. Scarlet was involved with the Thaumanova Reactor, which was an Inquest experiment, but only as a consultant. There’s no evidence that she worked directly on the experiment herself, but she did observe the results.
She also facilitated the alliance between the Inquest and her Aetherblades, but she only worked directly with the Aetherblades.
Sssuming her Sylvari roots (no pun intended) would inhibit her from doing the same kind of work of Asura ignores the fact that she spent most of her early life learning from the Asura. Asuran intellect may be genetic, but their technology is not. Sylvari had no technology of their own, so Scarlet’s only inspiration was the Asuran technology.
From the board of possible alliances in Scarlet’s lair, the Aetherblades were the result of an Inquest-Pirate alliance. However, in practise, it does seem that the Inquest simply sold some tech and then backed off after the first Aetherblade attack on Lion’s Arch got slapped down.
Either way, I think she worked with them, but they were never her stooges the way the Molten and Toxic Alliances were.

i was completing asura map when i saw this skill point
and it say lum plant o.O
and this area was wayyyyyyyyyyy before scarlet and LS2 story
so its it me or did asura already no about mord ??
and now in SW you see biolum dogs running around ??
i stile try to dig deeper in asura am sure they no allot more
what do you guys think ??
‘Plant’ as in ‘Power/Manufacturing/etc. Plant.’
Feryl Grimsteel (Charr Engineer)
Tarnished Coast
so its it me or did asura already no about mord ??
It is not just you, however the link between Asura and mordremoth has not been discussed due to the lum plant (where plant means something entirely different than flora, as Genesis points out).
The link between Asura and mordremoth was discussed due to Subject Alpha. His skill, ‘Teeth of Mordremoth’ was the earliest reference to Mord. In fact it was there at launch, long before the living story. Add to that, that the Infinite Coil Reactor seems to have a zone for each of the elder dragons: Black for Zhaitan, Blue for the Deep Sea Dragon, Violet for Kralkatorrik, Red for Primordus, White for Jormag and finally Green for Mordremoth.
So yes, the inquest definetely seem to have known about Mordremoth before the living story.
At the very least, they knew that there was a plant-oriented dragon…
The Priory also knew that, at the very least, that there was a sixth dragon, although depending on whether they’d translated the Scroll of the Five True Gods at that point, they may not have known anything beyond that there was a sixth dragon.

those lum dogs might be there creation ??
because in that lab there testing lum with plants and those dogs are plant type ??
