the moments that i love in my story
1. Creating a sheath for the Sanguinary Blade. Watching Gixx stuttering as he realized that Seiran’s idea was brilliant.
2. Order of Whispers story as a Sylvari. You rig a fight in order to get Caladbolg back, but to give the guy a hallucinogen you have to take it to. “But The Dredge!”
One of my favorite memories will always be the time that I went with Tybalt to save a kidnapped damsel in distress – all the while we were pretending to be pirates!
I’ll never be able to look at an apple now without getting all teary-eyed.
3. when the pale tree shows you the future at orr there are risen chicken who explode! anyone want roast chicken?
2. Order of Whispers story as a Sylvari. You rig a fight in order to get Caladbolg back, but to give the guy a hallucinogen you have to take it to. “But The Dredge!”
But the oozes… the ooozes! And the dredge!
What’s great is that in the second OoW storyline with Tybalt, you get the same tone as female sylvari when the character gets drunk, and it’s far more hilarious than – at the very least – charr male voice for that (which was not memorable at all).
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
- Getting a “Klingon Promotion” to lead a Blood Legion warband.
- When Logan actually lightens up and tries to be entertaining.
- Getting into a boasting contest with a Norn, I was asked to boast of my exploits. “I’m Tobias Trueflight” got her laughing and saying “I’ve heard tales of him, and you don’t look anything like him. Try again.”
The mission ‘Air Drop’
I cackled madly through the whole thing. When the reinforcements turn up and tell you a column of tanks has been over run by an army of risen and need help, I was so, yeah I got this, you guys just chill here.
That battle suit was a beautiful work of pure destruction. It felt like payback for every time a risen had ambushed me in Orr.
I also laughed pretty hard on Claw Island when you learn how Trehearne helped Seiran once with a risen gorrila she let out of a cage.
“I misread its sign language. I thought it was saying ‘I feel better’ when it was actually saying ‘kill’”
Oh poor Seiran. She was so crazy and cheerful.
Also, the very end of the solo missions. I know alot of people pan it but that last part were your defending and you form a line with the other guys and ‘fear not this night’ starts playing was amazing for me.
1. Battle for Claw Island
- Mainly because I love how the battle took place. Also, as much as I hate seeing Seirran die, I love that moment of the story because it had an impact to me. (First time an MMO made me care about their characters)
2. Retribution
-Vengeance and epic battles
I definitely have to agree the end of Source of Orr was a great moment in the game. It was really great to feel the real effect of taking out the source of Zhaitan’s corruption, and also having the ability to help someone fulfill their Wyld Hunt. But mostly it was fighting those last few minutes to Fear Not This Night (one of my favorite songs in the game).

oooh kitten I can’t wait to get to that mission and hear the awesome song!

The oooooozzes!!!
I loved that mission, it was without a doubt one of the highlights of the Personal Storyline.
Also gotta love Tybalt and Sieran.
1. Any missions with Countess Anise! I can’t pick anyone specifically as they are all great! There is one line I love when we were using Logan as bait to lure a bandit leader out. she said something like, “Oh, our dear Logan playing the role of a hapless victim! This I have got to see!” The woman oozes mesmer from every fiber of her being! I actually wish I had the option to join the Shining Blade just so I could work for her!
2. Tybalt Leftpaw! I swear, every time he mentioned apples, I laughed. I eventually had a mission where he was disguised as Caudecus’ daughter but wasn’t given a different voice. That cracked me up from beginning to end! What I really love about him is that he’s char but he’s not a warmongering atheist like the rest. It’s so refreshing to know that they can be drastically different.
3. I love the skritt in general. I know a lot people think they are overgrown rats but I find a lot of things about them interesting. For one, they become exponentially smarter as they work together. I had a mission where 12 of them were with me and their leader suddenly was as articulate as an asuran. I also have a theory that if enough of them decided to, they could easily take down dragon champions or even dragons! They even know they get smarter in groups but choose to do so rarely. That tells me they prefer to live simplistic lives.
There was also one I ran from in a low level area and he immediately teased, “You ran from skirtt!” I couldn’t control my giggle as I turned around set his kitten on fire.
4. Logan and Rylock in the CoF and CoE story modes. This was written almost perfectly. The way they stopped fighting was a bit ham-fisted. It would have made more sense of the player asked Rylock what he would have done if he had to decide between his warband and Destiny’s Edge and that finally opened his eyes to Logan’s side of the story. Nevertheless, the makeup and bromance afterwards was highly entertaining! Sometimes I play the CoF story again just for the story! I would do CoE too but if it wasn’t for knowing Felicia Day voiced Zojja, I’d absolutely hate the character.
5. Seiran is such an awesome character that, if I ever write a Guild Wars 2 fanfic, she’ll definitely be in it.
An Asuran story mission with Zojja:
Zojja: “Yeah. And in the meantime, we’re going to kick your behind so hard you’ll be wearing it as a hat. Right, Mr. Sparkles?”
Mr. Sparkles: “Affirmative. Prepare-to-don-the-behind-hat.”
Well since we are on about the out favourite parts of the whole story I can go ahead and deal out spoilers here
There are three moments that I will love more then anything in this game.
1: I’d chosen to be a part of the Durmand Prioy and as such, fell in love with Seiran’s character. I was very sad when she died on me, protecting me from the hoard of Risen coming for my Asuran Blood But the next mission helped me vent all of my rage at the Risen. I got to be the embodiment of Balthazar and even though I was tasked with defending Lion’s Arch from the hoards of Risen coming through from Claw Isle, I didn’t care. All I cared about was slaughtering all the Risen I could find for killing a very close friend of mine and it was GLORIOUS! I was slightly crying throughout the entire thing because of how much I cared for Sieran and how I got to have my vengeance.
2: Air Drop, so much glorious golemantic death that I couldn’t help but feel proud that I was playing an Asura. So much glorious tech!
3: Purifying Orr, the set up for it all was amazing, meeting everyone you’ve ever met throughout your Personal Story. All of them joining up together to help you fight against the corruption of Zhaitain. The music that played as both you and Treaherne fight against the Eye of Zhaitan, knowing that this will be the deciding factor in the war against the Dragon of Death and just having that awesome set of music playing in the background….I was literally crying my eye’s out as I played through that section.
Those are my favourite moments that made me feel so glad to have played this game
Thank you Arena Net for all of this awesome story

“We got incoming Risen!”
(ZAAAP)
“. . . or piles of rotting flesh smoking on the floor, that’s good too.”
can we order about a dozen more of those golems? playing through that mission almost made up for losing the order mentor (not really, but almost… every kill was in their name)
the one where you attack the Mouth in its manor was another one for me… expected every step of it, but seeing the norn turn was… yeah :/
i think ANet has something against norn chicks

Sierran ftw!!
Taking on Korag the Jotun King with the mighty axe forged with deldrimor steel and tempered in the blood of a legendary griffin, that quest felt epic and fun, not to mention the quest before it where you learn about the jotun’s past lend it some weight.
And then of course the final quest everything about it was just right and it felt momentous!
On the flip side the pirate quest line for the OoW was the low point of the game for me.
My favorite moment of my (that I can remember) story was during that Order Of Whispers mission in Beetleton. It was supposed to some super awesome stealth mission where you sneak in rescue some dude and not let anyone see you. I tried my kitten best to be a ninja, I even used all my Mesmer stealths and Blink, but somehow I ended up fighting every single mob in the entire mission.
Despite the fact that I finished the quest, I couldn’t help being depressed that I would never be a real ninja

Ghost cows, the horrible mooing.
I remember just staring at my screen for three minutes and chuckling at the sheer insanity of that idea. I enjoyed it, but it still had that moment of “Ghost Cow? Really? So are there haunted hamburgers or something?”
In fact it gave me a quote I want on a shirt : “Bunnies don’t moo!” Make that happen Arenanet, make this a shirt and I’ll pay you.

Shell Shock, when I killed my own allies by “accident”. That was cleaver.
