so this is just theorizing on the things that may come to pass in the next season or expation.

I was thinking about that mursaat image and the voiceover and to me it sounds like we are gonna try and get sylvari cleansed ( like glint )

also magdar and sohothin could be vitally important as there has been alot of ingame hints and such about the imbuing of souls into swords.
i was thinking perhaps these swords are so powerful and such because the souls in them were elder dragon souls or lutenint soul or something equally powerful as a way to cotain the magic and stop it going to the dragon again

there is more but im drawing a blank while writting lol so ill add to it as i think of more

And why not? The unlikeliest heroes tend to arise at the most desperate times, and this is the sylvari’s most desperate hour.

As for Magdaer and Sohothin, , we do know from the trailer that Rytlock is coming back from the Mists, presumably with his sword properly imbued – though at least at the outset, he’s not going to have a positive opinion of sylvari, to put it mildly. It could be that one of the main threads of upcoming player action in the Living Story/expansion will be to persuade Rytlock to put aside his distrust of sylvari in the same way that we got him and Logan to reconcile.

That’s been predicted since Season 1, due to the absence of a Sylvari biconic. I’m more surprised it took this long.

Also they still need to get rid of the extra human, so either Kasmeer or Marjory has to die.

Could be of course they planned to do it, but didn’t have the guts and created/killed Belinda instead.

It needs to grow (pun not intended) and not just be forced. Braham’s and Rox’s partnership? That grew out of Frost and Flame and their chance meeting at the Molten Facility. Picking up Kasmeer and Marjory? Happened when the Tower of Nightmares was breached and they went to work to examine the place for how to bring it down. Taimi? She attached herself and is doing her best to at least be a good student and learn things rather than boss people around. (And as such is the only asura I’m not willing to punt for distance.)

Canach has been through a lot, and some of it is a consequence of poor choices. What happens next is to be based on whether he’s learned to cooperate with others or continue trying to play the lone wolf.

OK, let’s speculate:

I think the massacre of the pact airfleet may have essentially been Mordremoth’s ‘true’ awakening, similar to the event that flooded Lion’s Arch in the backstory, and the same thing that Trahearne was trying to pre-empt.

Given that Mordremoth is the Elder Dragon of the Mind, I think it’s pretty much a given that he will start to corrupt members of the player races besides sylvari, if he hasn’t done so already. We could even imagine situations like Lionguard be ordered to massacre a group of dreamers as minions of Mordremoth, when the officer who gave the order is himself a minion of Mordremoth. Lots of delicious paranoia incoming.

I’d expect the political situation in Kryta to take a horrible turn. Jennah personally ordered thousands of seraph to join the fight against Mordremoth, many of whom were presumably lost in the massacre of the Pact air fleet. It doesn’t help that, as a mesmer, she may even be labelled as an agent of Mordremoth (again, remember that he is the Elder Dragon of the Mind) right off the bat.

The military situation in Kryta is also going to get pretty nasty, given the sheer number of soldiers that were lost to Mordremoth. Centaurs might start to move in, and we might even see them breach DR.

PCs of every race will have to deal with suspicion and see their political stars plummet — you put this new alliance together, yet you weren’t there for the massacre that left Tyria massively weakened. Hmm… that almost reminds me of some dialogue from the personal storyline: “My greatest fear is that I would fail so grievously that I would lose the respect of my comrades. That I’d disappoint my companions and be dishonored.”
