wizard tower
Almost certainly never. It’s existence invites mystery, speculation and wonder – this is a game writers dream!
Nothing Anet could do with that place could ever live up to years of expectation and imagination on behalf of the community.
For these two reasons I will place my own cast iron guarantee we will never see inside that place ever. To be honest I think that is the right call as well – some things are best left…….mysterious…
I’ve been waiting too kitten long, I need to know what’s in that tower!

They could do a lot with it.
I mean it is nothing more than a wizards haven, so as long as it is big and magical anything goes.
The thing you are getting it, i believe, is doing it right.
So it has to address everything we know right now (that there are supposed to be several towers, the history behind it and it needs a purpose)
Even if it is “just” the home of our pouwerful wizards who said: “screw this world, I am doing my own thing.”
like he is just a watcher and chronicles the world or something.
It is still something where we could find something usefull.
Even if this is his space, where he is almighty and has no reason to deal with us , we could at least go with the trope that we are stubborn enough to get his attention or are amusing enough for him to help us a little bit.
On the other hand, it is another mystery for mysteries sake. It`s not like we don`t have several of them around at the moment…
I dont think they could ever do it right though. That is not a dig at the writers, its realising that expectations are so wide and varied.
Mystery orchestrated through wonder is extremely healthy in a fantasy setting. Forced mysteries like the identity of E rarely capture the same sense of intrigue.
For years players have looked up at this floating castle and wondered what lies within. Once that reveal is done, that wonder is taken away and that is something a good fantasy writer should feel confident in not doing.
