Yeah right. I absolutely hate the fact that some rich kid can basically buy a legendary….sure they need to grind out the karma and map completion but those are pretty fun. This gold grind is too much for me. I play quite a lot and don’t spend gold on much of anything anymore, and I’ve only managed to save 65g All the while, everything required to get a legendary keeps getting more and more expensive.
The stupid thing is, I really only want a legendary so I don’t have that greyed out area on my log-in screen taunting me :P

mmhmm I was in a guild where at least 20 people had legendaries and Tier 3 armor. I grouped with them in dungeons and they sucked horribly. Had people sending me tells being like why is this guy with Twilight suck so bad?

While I myself couldn’t make the event yesterday…I am kind of sore about this precursor thing, even though it is my fault I didn’t attend.
BUT I still think that giving out random precursors to anyone was NOT what I expected when they said they would address the price issues.
As the precursors currently outvalues absolutely ANYTHING in the game, this is incredibly unfair going with rng luck like that. I’ve played many hours, I do dungeons all day long, all savings from lucky drops and money so far have given me about 100g. That is hundreds of hours spent. And then, some lucky fella, shows up at the event, and BOOM gets precursor worth 200g+ …
yes, I know, life is unfair, but I still think this was a very bad way of decreasing precursor rarity…

Yeah this is the quote I’m referring to. I thought it was coming with this patch because it was mentioned in the same blog post as the gear tier. I’m just really hoping this Lost Shores event chain was NOT the “scavenger hunt”.
I personally think we need a way to get them that doesn’t require luck and/or massive amounts of gold. Make it difficult but something we can get by playing the fun aspects of the game and not just grinding for or buying gold.

I agree and it’s only going to be a few weeks or less and the price, (which is still too high for me), will be crazy high again.
I was able to participate. The stuff I got is rather useless(I like the Ancient Karka Chest, but that’s all). It’s a little disheartening and disappointing that so many people got precursors and the rest of us got almost useless stuff(why do I always get armor for the other classes?! ARGH!).
Some of us got a reward for like…1g and the others got a reward for over 300g. I would be less disappointed if I hadn’t participated.
I stayed awake really long for this event. Then I get the stuff from the chest and think “Wow, useless armor again. Light armor, medium…hello? I am a guardian. Are you joking?” But THEN people started to post what THEY got…so many people got precursors! That’s when I felt really unlucky. This event leaves a bitter taste.
And I don’t even want to think about all those people who couldn’t participate because of rl, login problems or because they got kicked out of the event! D:
