100% World Completion
probably it wont count towards map completion..does southsun count to map completion? i dont know but i dont think actually..so there shouldnt be a problem
I think it should be like the new vistas that were added during season 1: Map needs to be completed for 100%, but people wo already have 100% won’t loose their achievement. On the other hand when they reach 100% again they won’t get the chest a second time.
This did work well for minor changes like new waypoints, etc. This should also work for a whole new map.
Considering it’s going to be permanent, I’d think it will count towards map competition for characters who don’t have it, but will not count for those who have already achieved it.
If you think about it from the angle of a player just starting the game when this map is available, they’d assume they need to complete it so.
However we don’t know if this new map is going to immediately be like other maps. I mean, is there going to be WPs? The asurans haven’t had access to it to build WPs. Will it have heart quests? Hmm maybe. POIs, vistas and skill points are likely to be there for definite.
I really don’t know, if you take the example of Southsun Cove, or the example of the Edge of the Mists, both are permanent, but are not to be fulfilled to complete the world map…
I really hope new zones will have vistas, hearts quests, and so on…
I hope it’s going to be part of map completion. It’s only logical.
I still don’t get why Southsun isn’t part of map completion, as if that zone isn’t useless enough.

If they follow the Guild Wars model for added content (expansions), they separated map completion. So it’s very possible you’ll have a separate track for additional maps added to the game. I could see a Maguuma map completion track, if it’s large enough or has hearts, waypoints, vistas and POI’s.
i’m totally in favor of losing my 100% completion star (and even the title/achievement) every time a new map is added. of course i shouldn’t get another completion chest, but having to work towards having the title again is only logical. otherwise, in the future there would be players with world completion that have seen less of the world than some players without it.
most likely new dragon maps will be like orr with no hearts in them
