1. People can and will get disconnected in them. I know someone who keeps getting disconnected during these events and can’t get the achievements.
1a. This causes a problem if they want achievements as you have to do multiple
2. Doing multiples of these events takes way too long.
3. You’re already killing so many of x and y that spending time in 45 minute long events is a drag. Particularly, as I hear, they don’t have a meaningful impact on the world (haven’t done them, but know someone who has – I don’t have the time to do them but I got the meta achievement for the past few living stories).
4. You have to wait for them to appear and you have to be there within the first 10 minutes and stay until the very end so in-game time may need to be considerably longer than an hour.

If we have 45 minute events can’t we just have them in one location and only have to complete one of them for achievements? Now that the school year’s starting for many, it’s an awkward time to be asking for even more time dedicated to the game. Before you could go in for just 10 minutes here and there and eventually get the achievements. Now, you’re expected to stay in the game for a full 45 minutes just for one thing. In the end, however, you end up spending the same amount of time in-game. So why not let it be a bit more flexible? I thought part of the style of Guild Wars was to let people hop in and out so that they’d actually dedicate more time than they normally would to a game because they could go into it for ten to thirty minutes and make some progress. Everyone has a few minutes they can spare in a day.

Can we have a system like the one for dungeons for other instances? For example, personal story and Living Story instances? Also… it would be nice if it could be worked out for these 45 minute long events. This way, people who get disconnected can return to the content without having to worry about not finishing said content.
