In a word! It’s bad. The timed events are annoying, the bosses aren’t hard and die ridiculously fast with dozens of players literally just waiting around for the boss to pop.

- It is my opinion that if you have players spending an hour or more waiting for something to happen, you have designed that thing poorly. The glowing eyes are neat though.

A better World is possible.

I would think, if there is going to be an ‘Anniversary Event’, it would come on the August 23rd patch. Just seems more likely…to me.

This is part of the living story; it has nothing to do with the anniversary.

Isn’t the anniversary more of a RL and social media thing rather than in-game? Come to think of it, have any of the previous anniversaries been associated with a major in-game event? I only recall the presents, BL store sales and that one outfit.

:D so I called it the wrong thing, it’s still bad Game play, We can agree on that?

Not really. Again, I did it in a day. How bad can it be if someone as casual as myself did it in a day? Heck. Since I knew where to go, once my wife came home, I escorted her to all the stones and events too . . . in less than five hours.

Granted, some of the mechanics stinks, but it’s more a question of patience than anything else.

I don’t think I can do this casually. I’d have to luck out to being in the right map’s right instance at the right time. The slivers? sure, that’s easy enough to do casually. The Legendaries? I’ve been in the right map at the right time without seeing any spawn, without any LFG opportunities to move to a map.

Of course, the one time I did manage to find one of the targets, it didn’t take long at all.

Personally, I’m not willing to spend more than 10 minutes waiting in a map that holds no other interest for me, so I doubt that I’m likely to finish these any time soon… playing “casually”.

edited to use “I” instead of the impersonal pronounce, “you” which is ambiguous

Lol, GW2 dose not do anniversary’s. It’s been 4 years and GW1 has more more of a celebration for the launch of GW2 than GW2.
