The Marshal Sallies Forth
The Marshal sallies forth today
He leads the army strong.
His airships climbing to great Re
To fight the dragon throng.
He stands before his men in reign
His speeches, O’ valedictory.
Yea, nary that this day shall wane
’fore our marshal brings us victory.
He comes with shining Caladbolg.
He leads the armies by his hand.
And though the Dragon looms e’re tall
There shall be victory by his command.
Gripe not! Yea common servant, poor
Lend not your mews unto his ear.
For the Marshal stands here at your door
He comes to take all you hold dear.
For though this scholar of great renown
Has bested Zhaitan, his sacred charge.
His ego is greater than a town
His narcissism is quite large.
He promises an ill-fated end
Though never this portent is realized.
He plays the hero through this trend
So that he may be idealized.
Harken, Marshal, unto my words
Before your actions cause a coup.
I have but one exclaim to gird
Verily, I say, “kitten you.”
