So, Scarlet saw something/someone when she went crazy. The new weapons in this release are Tormented weapons (weapons also related to him Abaddon) . We never got to see the Abaddon fractal due to Kiel winning the election…

Does anyone think maybe HE is the thing that Scarlet saw? That he’s not truly dead, just lying in wait, powered-down and struggling, perhaps? And maybe Scarlet is looking for magic ley lines to help restore some of his power? IDK.

He played a significant role in all the previous events: the bloodstones, the Mursaat, Shiro Tagachi, and obviously Nightfall. Just throwing some ideas together.

I thought so as well. Maybe he will be tied in but so far it looks like it isn’t the case. No spoilers for ya.

The theory is this:
Sylvari are all mininos of the dragon that Scarlet is waking. Pale Tree is the neutralizer, so sylvari born trough her are not controlled. Scarlet was sensitive enough to get mind controlled by the dragon while he was still dreaming. She was being made insane by it, so she wanted to draw it out and kill it. She was drilling into where the Lay Lines connect because she didn’t know where the dragon was. As she is dying her plan goes in motion and the dragon is awaken.

Her lair hints at a dragon, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Abbadon had a hand in the dragons before he ‘died’

She’s says Tyria will bow to a “new” master.
However, Elder dragons, to my knowledge, don’t seem to care to “rule”. They just are.
The consumer magic, corrupt and do what they do. They don’t ask for people to bow to them.

Kind of a weird thing to say if she was talking about a dragon.

Then why does Zhaitan’s minions rant and rave about how Zhaitan will rule over all?

Abbadon is associated with Evon and I believe ArenaNet hinted that Evon’s interest in the Abbadon Fractal is religious.

Evon could be interested in summoning an alternate Fractal Abbadon to Tyria to bring about Nightfall.

Voting for Kiel gives us hints on Scarlet’s plans while voting for Evon gives us hints on Evon’s plans.

Our vote resulted in getting hints about the current villain while a vote for Evon would have given us hints on a later villain.
