Are there any Watchworks around besides the ones that spawn during a Scarlet invasion?

If not, I take it killing one during an invasion is the only way to get this daily?

You could also replay the story instance and kill the one that spawns from the Watchknight by picking the wrong option. Of course, if you need to kill more than one, this is a very slow way of doing it.

Yes this is what I did and only one is needed. Alternatively you could also do the aetherblade path of the TA dungeon. I believe the first enemies you encounter are watchworks.
