Guild Wars 2

I played through LS2 on my main character, but haven’t yet done it for any of my other characters. I’m just trying to figure out if there is in fact any reason to do so.

Unlocking the central tyria mastery points require a second play through of a character that already completed it, so if I want to go for those, doing it on another character doesn’t help out.

It also isn’t necessary to play through to get access to the silverwastes or dry top – one can just get those easily enough.

My only though would be if there are any unique items rewarded, or if people otherwise had thoughts on benefits for playing through on each character.

Well you can get carpace armor boxes per character was it gloves leggings and shoulders if I remember right and its nice exp if you need mastery exp or for spirit shards.

You get a black lion key, as well.

Don’t you get parts for mawdrey as well?

Easiest way for some Carapace armor pieces, and items for a second Mawdrey. I think that’s really about it.

Oh, and choice on who to do the achievements on, if you want a slow, sturdy build for some and a fast, glassy for some and that fits different characters.

Free Black Lion keys is very good reason to start hitting those other characters.

1.) Achievements though these can be done your main too some are easier with different characters

2.) more carapace armor parts (requires a total of 3 character playthroughs). While these can be aqured via different means, the LW Season 2 story steps are the fastest

3.) LW Season 2 episode 6 rewards 1 Black Lion Key per character

You can do the stories separately, as they offer individual rewards. The BL key is from chapter 6, for example. Components for Mawdrey from Ch3-4. Carapace pieces from 5-8. Geodes are 1-4.

In my opinion, nothing else is worth redoing the story for, if your sole interest is in the rewards.

The one other potential benefit is that if I do plan to play through on main character for the mastery points, playing through on another character first to refresh the mechanics of the story to know what to do to get mastery points probably isn’t a bad idea. Though I’m sure if I do a little digging, someone has made a guide on this.

I replayed Season 2, HoT and Season 3 with 5 characters just for fun. =)
Of course I take breaks but I enjoy replaying them…
