It’ll probably happen at some point. Most likely a Gem Store thing like Majory’s Dagger / Axe, Rox’s Shortbow / Quiver, ect.

It is in the wardrobe so it will come into the game at some point.

Maybe it becomes craftable with the new ore we got? Anyone?

Did you notice how when she has it on her back, it’s IN a sheath? Unlike… well ANY other weapon we’ve had so far (at least that are normal blades).

First sheath in the game.

I was hoping I could craft this. Looks better than my current ascended greatsword.

But what happens to the scabbard once you draw the sword?

I think it’s part of Anet’s plan to revitalize the ranger class.

You see, as soon as it’s available to players, I bet you’ll start to see LOTS of pale humans with white long hair named Sephiroth, X_Sephiroth_X, Sefiroth, Sephirothh, Sephhiroth, XXSEPHIROTHXX and so on. But to look the look, they will need abyss died trenchcoats, not ways around it, which means they’ll be medium armor profesions.. and well, what’s the only medium armor profesion that can wield greatswords?…

Its called saya, and it dissapears, the good thing is, its a GS so the hands are holding it bang on the money unlike with swords.

It’s in the wardrobe next to Iron Greatsword, and is also called Iron Greatsword.

There is a serious lack of good looking rifle skins now and it seems the other weapons are getting new good looking skins lately.

Most of the good looking ones are Black Lion token rewards only.

Yeah I can see them putting it in the gemstore, but unlike Marjory’s Axe or Kasmeer’s staff, it doesn’t have any glow to it.

@Vol Marjory’s Axe, Kasmeer’s Staff, Braham’s Shield and Mace all cost 600 gems, so I see that being the price.

I don’t think you understand. Look at how many people in this thread alone want this weapon. We can safely say that a ton more will love this thing. This gets released as free in-game, and you can bet it will be on the TP at a much higher price in gold than you would’ve had to convert for gems :/

If it’s a rare drop I’ll have more a chance of getting it than if it’s on the gem shop.

It’s a nodachi not a katana, learn you Japanese weaponry better guys (Other than Clyan who got it right)

Maybe it will be part of a new line up of champ box weapons.

My spare time does not consist of learning weapons from other cultures down to the key, regardless in my….our defense, I said “looks like a katana” as I was speaking from an in character POV, Japan doesn’t exist. But I’d prefer the in game name of Nodachi/Katana/ Heck even Canthan greatsword over iron Greatsword, which is what it is currently
