Bitterfrost Frontier Elixir Quest
You’re not alone. There have been a ton of complaints about this (as well as other elements that reset daily). The good news is that they (mostly) haven’t repeated this for other new zones.
I had to do it twice on my first character; for the rest, I learned to leave until I was ready (with friends or without).
It’s terrible stuff.
Maybe it’d be sorta cool if you could stockpile these things, but otherwise this makes me avoid that area entirely.
What’s even worse is that your inventory gets spammed by all that elixir materials crap.
I mean, I like Bitterfrost Frontier, but that one thing about it does suck.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
There’s very little to see or do in that area of the map, hardly worth re-visiting once you’ve done what there is to do. A whole mastery for that would have felt just pointless.
If you do wanna re-visit it once or twice for some reason, making the elixir is not really that time-consuming. A bit tedious yes, but then you have a full 24 hours to explore the area as much as your heart desires.
Not really “a full 24 hours” unless they’ve changed it. It lasts until next reset, so an elixir can last 24 hours (if done just after reser) or it can last minutes (if done just before).
You can see how long the Elixir works, for me it was 9 hours (until 2am). I recommend getting the Mastery Point in that area and the diver achievement while you are at it.
I had to brew that stupid elixir again and know your pain. At least I found a way to travel to it via Thermal Tube.
What shocks me more is that brewing the Elixir is part of the daily for that area. I highly doubt that anyone brews it for the daily. It practically means there is no daily completion achievement in Bitterfrost Frontier.
This is the reason why I won’t go back there and finish the boss achievements. I’d like to be able to compile the elixir and park my character there until I’ve studied the boss fight. Instead the elixir timer counts down even when I’m not playing the character with the elixir.
