Think about it… The story line mentioned the place where “ley lines” intersect was considered very important. Notice the epicenter (if you will) is located between Lions Arch and Kessex hills empty zone.

I think this is where the end of this living story will take us…

Or it could be that tegue don’t have/use way points so this it’s just what we can see. If we had a full picture(of the dominion)we might have a better idea of what’s going on.

When was that map generated, before or after that undocumented patch we got recently? I had been considering going to scope out the waypoints to see if the patch changed any of them.

“empty zone between Lion’s Arch and Kessex hills” is where the Dominion of winds (aka Tengu home area) is located, so I very much doubt the LS will take us there (would be bloody awesome to be wrong, though).

And yes, so far, the map seems accurate, from the in-game talks, 4 dead waypoints are what people know of so far. Yes, I ask random strangers, I’m weird like that. Whether that is the final number… who knows?

The tengu have closed off their walls to everyone else, and nothing in the lore suggests that a tall wall would stop people from being able to WP to something past it (example: can WP into DR), together which suggests to me that the tengu simply don’t have WPs.

You are jumping to conclusions. Any player that reached the WPs in the Dominion could easily use them to TP in from outside… getting there to unlock them is the challenge, especially currently while the zone is inaccessible (probably because it hasnt been created).

There’s two lines of tendrils extending out from Maguma. One appears to be heading toward the Chaos Crystal Cavern, which we know from in game content had something to do with the construction of the Thaumanova Reactor. The other appears to be heading toward the Infinity Coil Reactor, which we know from in game content is an upgraded version of the Thaumanova Reactor.

Mordremoth may have some plan that requires both of them.

Agreed.

I don’t think so. I think the reason for the observed pattern is that major ley lines run between Mord and the Infinity Coil Reactor and between Mord and the Chaos Crystal Cavern. Remember that Mord’s tendrils spread through the use of the ley lines. Also remember that the done at the Thaumanova Reactor revealed the ley lines to Scarlet because it was on an intersection of ley lines.

If Scarlet’s leyline map is accurate ( https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/lore/lore/The-most-mysterious-drawing-in-Scarlet-s-Lair ), then the vines are following some leylines, but not others, which makes me think Mordremoth is specifically targeting those two sites, rather than just ending up there because that’s where the leylines go.

1) We don’t know if it’s a map.
2) We don’t know if it shows ley lines.
3) Even if it is a map and does show ley lines, it might still be that Mord is following major ley lines and ignoring minor ley lines.

I haven’t seen anything to suggest he is following those ley lines with some greater goal in my mind. To me it seems like he is just spreading through the path of least resistance, popping up whenever there are magical artifacts around (Fort Salma, Concordia and Village of Scalecatch).

That’s not what I’m saying. Your inability to read is staggering. I already said they may not use waypoints……

Here’s what I read.

You suggest that they don’t have or use waypoints.
The person says that the Tengu closed off their walls to keep people out, the purpose of which would be defeated if they had waypoints, because people could just WP past the walls, suggesting that they don’t have waypoints.
You then say that that’s not what you said.

Whose inability to read is staggering?

I can read just fine. You just failed to explain what your where saying. Re-read what you typed out and tell me it makes sence.
