Caithe's Blossom too hard to get?
You get it also for free by doing the story achievements for episode 5. They are pretty simple and quick to do this time. Check dulfy.net for guide.
If you’re trying to complete the story achievements and it doesn’t work, make sure that you’re doing them on a character which has already completed the episode. You should have yellow buff icons with a crown shape for each achievement possible in the instance when you start it.
For the last instance, you can use challenge motes once you’ve killed enemies with achievements to reset the achievement and summon the enemy back if you failed.
It’s replayable even though LS progresses to the next episodes, you can always go back and complete at will whenever you want and have time to do that challenge.
Sounds like you’ve been replaying the story instances and not going to them to “play for elite achievements” as the prompt in-game suggests. Could that be the case?

As long as you have the episode unlocked, and you’re doing it on a character that has the story done once, you can get the mastery achievement even after the two weeks is up. It is very accessible.
You can get it by soloing the achievements of Ep 5.
Anyway, the events in Silverwaste won’t stop at the next update. you will still be able to complete them. Of course it could be a bit harder since less ppl would be doing them, but its feasible. I got back in the game at episode 4 and completed all the achievements of Dry Top event if the map wasn’t as busy compare to when the map was revealed.
These achievement guides are very helpful.

As Hidden Arcana is very long, if you mess up on one boss, you can interact with a challenge mote and re-do that specific boss without having to do the whole instance from the start.
(Thanks Anet!)

The guides here give you some helpful hints on how to get past some of the more difficult tasks. Personally, I only had to repeat the recon one where you have to keep your squishy vigil noobs alive, (seriously, these two are Vigil they should not be as squishy as they are!) And the fist boss that you can’t get knocked down… had to restart that fight five or six times, mostly because I kept dodging myself off the edge.
Yeah, ANet did good by putting in the Challenge Motes to let us repeat the boss immediately if we fail the achievement. Glad to see they took that feedback on board after the horror show of the Summit achievement.

Yeah, I did the Arcana ones I did with two other players, and we had to redo some of them a few times to all get credit, but it really wasn’t that hard. Even if you have no skills, you can get someone else to basically walk you through them and just not get in their way. If you have trouble with the Caithe mission keeping everyone alive, you can use the mines as the guide suggests, or alternately if you’re in a team, the NPCs will follow the starting player, so you can let the other players do the fighting and just hang back and they’ll stick with you.
Also, if you have trouble with the waves of enemies at the end of that one, it seems to be time-based rather than kill-based, so if you activate the flare and then run up onto the cliffs where they can’t reach you, you can just wait out the clock (although you might have to run back over there eventually to trigger the ending).
you spend complaining about it on the forums, you’d be
done by now.”

Yeah loved those. Not sure if they retroactive added them as well to the other episodes. Which they should but I doubt it, ANet has a bad habit of not iterating on things that have been released (still waiting for that overhauled Zhaitain fight :P ).
Anet retroactively added ascended trinket prizes to previous achievements, too. Their data probably told them not enough people have been completing them. I know I hadn’t before, due to the lacking rewards and the lack of option to skip cutscenes/ make quick replays.
Wonder when wvw players get free ascended armor. Kind of silly that PvE players always get super rewards.

Or reward tracks, or defense perks, the list goes on.
Honestly if you play WvW you had better be there for the fun, because if you are there for the rewards you will be SADLY disappointment.
On topic, the motes do indeed help, but the entire thing needs to be made into 2 separate instances IMO as it is FAR long.

You didn’t get yours? I picked up my free ascended Cav staff there a few months back.
Guess you need to find the correct Keep Lord. ;D

I was looking at achievements I’ve left unachieved last night and saw all those ascended trinkets. I didn’t remember seeing them before, but I figured maybe I just hadn’t looked closely enough. Retroactively added, huh. Still not gonna bother with them. I’m also fighting a losing battle to not say something silly about Caithe’s ‘blossom’ being too hard to get. Seeing as how she’s technically a plant, and thinking about what a blossom is, and all that.

That’s awesome thank you for telling me this!
The Blossom isn’t really “hard” to get. You will just have to finish the story 3 times (once for each piece).
The Tangled Paths one on the other hand….brutal 2000 Crest grind.
