I don’t know how Sylvari headleaves grow, but have other people noticed the change in Caithe’s hairstyle?

When we use the Memory Seeds, we see Caithe with shorter headleaves
- Caithe Past #1
- Caithe Past #2

But once she did that thing during the last flashback… Her hair went to her current style at some point
- Caithe Now

And who had a very similar style in the past?
- Tadaa!

Intented or not? Who knows ^^

It was plainly obvious that Caithe’s current hairstyle came about as her way of “remembering” Wynne, or changed to that eventually due to that experience, just as Canach’s look had.

I think it’s just laziness / lack of design from developers.

It’s not laziness. They had to actively make a new model with a different hair for the new releases. If they were being lazy they would have just used her regular model and she would have looked exactly the same as she always has…

I agree with what Nilkemia said.

I was very happy, and surprised, that something like a hairdo would play such a significant role in GW2’s story and in a character’s development in a symbolic and touching way. Like the promotional image we’ve seen earlier stated: “I will bear your pain.”

It is probably the case. I wonder how much control the Sylvari have over their own appearance. On Canach’s case, there isn’t a single aspect of him that didn’t change, and I wonder if all of it was his doing or if it was due to being a fugitive for so long (being hungry, thirsty and sleep-deprived while at it).
But I suppose Caithe’s hairstyle change was fully intentional.

Who knows, we don`t know much about how much a Sylvari can grow bodyparts after being born.
