Can some one explain living story to me?
it’s a way of implementing new content into the game every 2-4 weeks that’s supposed to be unique from launch content or expansion style content.. some of the implementations are temporarily available
Whenever an update rolls around the player gets a mail, explaining what’s going on and where (s)he has to go. Additionally, in the top right corner there is usually some sort of “quest log” similar to the Personal Story.
Unfortunately, the Living Story doesn’t benefit casual players, like myself. They should keep some of the rewards and boosts exclusive for that time period, but make the actual story permanent. I’m so far behind on the Living Story, that I have no clue what is going on and I’m so under leveled, that I can’t really participate either.
However, if you play a lot, then the Living Story seems great.
So far I as far as I am concerned there have not been any updates because I have no idea where this content is in game.
You know that big letter that appears and takes up 1/4 of the screen? you read it and then click on the ‘show me’ button. That tells you where to go.

There are plenty of sources for players to catch up on the living story.

good read, takes you from release to the current store arc.

previous release for content and new features.
I get Anet needs to make away for new/returning players to replay the story in-game, but there is plenty of reference material to get you caught up if you bother to look

You make a good point on being able to get caught up. Although it would be much nicer to be able to play it whenever we want instead of having to read about it.
Maybe they’ll do something like this again but make it permanent content.
