Champion Mordrem Troll Iron
but but but… he’s a troll!!! He’s supposed to do that :P
Just for these achievs, if I had this problem and until I got the achiev – I’d carry any rez orbs available.

Ooh! Ooh! Can we get a literal internet-style Troll boss in an upcoming update? Some sort of brute with completely OP attacks who spouts random inflammatory phrases relating to the most common complaints from whatever the current release is? I’d have a blast sissy-flailing against him while laughing my kitten off.
I have killed the troll about 10 times now, I did not see this happen at any of the times? not a large sample but I think in all of the times the troll dies first of all champs.
With enough bad luck the same can probably happen with gold and silver.

Yes, jumping into Gold’s and Silver’s lair, just to find myself right in front of them when the were doing their shout… Couldn’t react fast enough to leave the hole in time.
Good times.

He still won’t be better than the best GW1 boss
@OP: The issue is that the troll’s room isn’t that large… people will just stack at the safe landing spot to avoid being damaged.
If you make players invulnerable for a short bit after landing in, people will just leave and re-enter to remain invulnerable while damaging him.
Too exploitable. Only solution would be to make the room bigger.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

Precisely why it can be problematic. It’s one of the most distant outposts and it’s one of the bosses that dies first (the other being Copper Husk)
So if you jump in and land in his aoes going off all at once and die, by the time you run back, the Troll and Husk are probably dead, you’re left going to Platinum, where your skills as an Ele are more detrimental than helpful (Eles have relatively few single target skills, mostly just scepter autoattacks or 2 attunements of staff autoattack, 1 utility, and 1 scepter skill and like 2 skills on conjured weapons, just about everything else has an aoe radius or melee cleave area), or Gold/Silver which, it depends on your map but a lot of times maps leave those ones for last.
All over a death that’s hard to avoid and based entirely on bad luck.

I’ve not done this fight yet (nor do I expect to), but there might be a way to do it.
They might be able to make it so that jumping into one of the rooms gives you (just to pick a duration) 3 seconds of invulnerability, but also puts everything onto a 3 second cooldown like some attacks do when they hit. This gives you time to get out of the way and get ready to fight, but you can’t actually score any hits until that invulnerability goes away.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
I have an idea. Make the room similar to copper husk’s with an L shaped hallway so that you are safe when you drop in, but you will not be able to attack the boss. Make the “safe zone” far enough away so that if someone is trying to cheese the fight by standing on top of the drop into the room they are more than 1500 units away from the boss, making it out of their attack range when the boss is immobile. So yes, the room would be bigger in that way.
