I wonder if we are getting some new gear that is not from the gem store setwise ?

doubt. it. they havent done this since launch. no reason to believe they’ll start now. expect maguuma armors in the gem store.

I expect a whole new set of maguuma armor in the gem store and maybe 1 recipe for a backpiece in-game. Or a weapon or two. Overall underwhelming as far as loot goes. I expect the map itself is going to be the highlight of this release.

I want another dungeon with a new dungeon themed set of armor and weapons!

Dunno if I’m supposed to refer directly to this, so I won’t post any links. However, there will be goggles and scarves (appropriate for desert environments).

I cant see myself playing this LS S2 is everything is in the gemstore.

Though most likely in the gemstore (just like Scarlets stuff was >:( ).

I’m guessing that somewhere in LS2 in the new zones there will be somewhere where you can barter/buy new armor. It might be new stats, it might be new cosmetics, there will almost certainly be new runes and sigils.

Pretty much this.

GW2 has a content problem. Almost all new weapons & armor are either in the Gem Store, or a single-piece item such as gloves, back-slot item, or weapon. Other MMOs constantly release full armor sets and weapons.

The same old sets from release, almost 2 years ago:
WvW gear, Dungeon gear, Crafting gear, Cultural gear, and Order gear. Some SPvP gear was removed too, which makes it even worse.

I really hope they will add something. I don’t mind the gem armours but make them at least 50 gem gear -50 game gear and not single items but sets

i hope they add some new good looking armors.. i run since tower of nightmares with my magitech armor and not gonna lie.. it sorta gets boring to look at

There’s another post, but I can’t seem to find it. Had full armor models.

I think we will see some new ingame items. We are going after a dragon, and old Zhitan was at the end of a dungeon. So it would stand to resin that this one will be too.

I just want them to focus more on WvW than PvE.

The problem is that all new armor/weapon skins are either gem store only or subject to the RNG gods. I tried in vain to get 1 of Scarlet’s rifles but nope, they just weren’t dropping. And because of the ridiculous drop rates, their prices were stupid high.

I’d like to see many skins that drop like those from the core game at launch, as well as some vendor armors like we’ve got in WvW or temples.

New armor skins as rewards for completing achievements is likely. Hats, gloves, shoulders, etc.

There will be new armors and weapons, and also a new backpiece will be introduced!

All of this will come ALMOST free to you!

I just want on-land spears, there’s even spear + shield-wielding figures in the latest concept artwork (Premonition)
Of course, concept artwork is just that and allows some artistic freedom, so people will argue they’re just staves, but to counter that, those 2 spear/staff-wielders are also seen to wield shields and staff are two-handed weapons, so this is something new.

But, meh, as I said, concept artwork and probably not restricted by limitations of game in terms of weapon mechanics or availability…
Artwork itself is excellent btw, don’t get me wrong!

Spears would complete my paragon in GW2 though, provided guardians were given access to it (which they should for main hand ranged option)!

I think they’ll add some hearts to the new map and when completed, they’ll sell you Tribal armor and, maybe, new armor for heavy and medium classes.
