So, I’ve got some keys for chests that are supposed to appear during the sandstorms. But, I’ve got no idea where to look. I’ve searched the area near the town while the sandstorm is blowing, but I’ve never seen any.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

I came across one behind a sapling, but didn’t have a key. They are just here and there, I guess.

Use your ctrl key to show objects. They are a bit hidden, but one is extremely easy to find directly at the quicksand lake. And with ctrl+running around the sandstorm area it’s very easy to find at least 4-5 without too big of a deal.

I’m not sure if they’re randomly placed every sandstorm, or always in the same place. Anyone found this out?

The three times I collected the chests they were at the same place all the time. But I was doing some story stuff in between, so it might have been on different servers.

They’re usually at least somewhat out of the way. Anyone gotten anything rare from these yet aside from Nomad recipes?

I got an exo helmet (looked like googles).

I usually find them on cliffs, and in cracks and crevices.

I found one in the quicksand just inside the fence area. If you walk on the safe side of the fence you can spot it, jump in, grab and jump out…. Make sure you have a key though, lol. Another I found way in the back of the mine but did not have a key at the time.
